If you know what I'm talking about, I hope you agree with me that he is a complete moron. He is putting our troops over in Afghanistan at risk, by making 'moderate' muslims 'extreme' muslims. Post your ideas on this topic here:

:O So he openly rejects a religion, no big deal.....no wait! Obama would make it a big deal, considering his huge muslim background.

Oh hoh hoh...I was thiiis close to totally debunking this statement, but... you caught me! You sneaky fellow...

See again why I think religion in general is horrible? The War on Terrorism isn't necessarily a war on Islam--it is that the terror groups just happened to be Muslim. If it was a group of Japanese Shinto monks that manipulated the planes into Tie Fighters, then we would have negative feelings towards the Japanese. And the Shinto religion. And Star Wars, for that matter. What are we talking about again? Something about an extremist provoking extremists?

It's just stupid he does this, you've just gotta respect every religion and the people who have that religion. I don't know that much about the muslim centre in NY, but I heard it's not even quite that near to Ground Zero. I believe this is made too much a big matter.
I just hope Geert Wilders won't give a bad impression of the Netherlands .

lol nice reference there. Thats what I was talking about earlier, we are against terrorism, not islam. If Christians bombed the twin towers it would be a whole other story.

Why can't I burn a couple of Bibles? They aren't important to me. I could twist truth and logic and say that they represented everything I hate in the world and point out that the crusades were carried out by people who believed in the Bible. It's really the same thing as what the dude wanting to burn Holy Qu'rans is doing.

To Avorne, So long as you're American, on American soil, you are free to burn what ever you want, except humans, animals or anything else with blood in it or on PETA's ,"Oh no you don't, list". rofl

When American's are visiting, working or especially defending our country, in other countries, we need to chill and keep our mind focused on getting back to the States before we incite riots! I'm not saying this happened with the OP's story but I'm giving an extreme reaction to a disrespectful act.

To: Frank, Mage, etc.
Go ahead and blame religion on the worlds wars, it's been the scapegoat for centuries. The extremists feed off of this rhetoric!

Y'know what - I'm gonna go burn some Bibles because someone claiming to be a Christian blew up an Abortion Clinic.

Personally I'm against the burning of any book.

Why can't I burn a couple of Bibles?

Someone already beat you to it.

Burning Everyone's Koran

I'm not blaming the worlds wars on religion. This one however does seem to have heavy connections with religion though.

I suppose we could hire out a building near ground zero and hold a 'burn the bible day' on the same day.

Best to come heavily armed though. No sense of humour some book burners.

Apparently the event has just been cancelled - something about talking to the Imam of the mosque to get it moved.

Make a scene dude, burn a book and get death threats and be on TV, or go into you back yard, throw it in a fire, and be modest.

From what I'm reading they are denying making such a deal.

If this book burning is in response to the "Ground Zero Mosque" they shouldn't decide not to build it just because of some jackwads threat to desecrate their holy text. They should build it where they have it planned regardless of what threats are issued.

One church was going to burn a koran and it is viewed as bad, but every day Bibles are burned in Arabia and Iran while christians are being beat and killed and it seems like very few people care.
