Well, I think of it more as an idealogical stance than a vice, but how do you feel about the objectification of women? As I see it, women are people. And another suprising fact, the Guy in my name truthfully indicates that I am male. I feel, that no matter where they are from, who they are, or what gender they have, people should be treated equally. Of course, that is my opinion, and so I will hope that people can share their views, even if they do believe in the objectification of women. So, please, no making insults on other people's comments. As the rules say, keep the debate friendly and clean. If possible, you can point out flaws, but, it is opinion. So remember, those are the rules, people!
Like I said about the ta-tas. Why would you WANT to take the specialness out of sex? It holds a lot more value in a relationship than you think. Sex is not just some monotonous way to reproduce, it is pleasurable for most. Turning it into a chore like brushing your teeth would really hurt the "morale" of sex, if you will.
Now, I am all for sex education to practice it safe.
Really? By making sex just a normal part of life rather than some big secretive thing would probably increase gender equality. Men no longer feel that they have to be the breadwinners of a relationship, they and their partners are equal and therefore happier. You sound like a functionalist and/or a sexist - Big strong man do work, woman stay home and better be happy to let big strong man sex her up.
However, I do have to say that set roles are a disgrace, but there is nothing wrong with "gender" roles if they fall into place. There are some women that want a big strong man to work and they stay at home to care for the children. That's a personal choice for that couple. Then there are some that prefer a more equal partnership.
The relationship I am in, we definitely have roles that just fell into place.
Sorry - I should rephrase some of the earlier stuff. When I say 'make it just a normal part of life' I don't mean just make it seem a dull activity done for the purpose of reproduction. I simply meant remove the assigned 'secrecy and taboo' and let the world be a bit more open about sex and sexuality. I've just realized that how I phrased it made it seem the opposite. Anyway, I still believe that sex is an important part of a relationship - it acts as a pleasurable and 'bonding' experience between a couple.
My theory to women is that all Christian believers should think of women as our servants because in the bible it says Eve was created for Adam. So shouldnt women be our servants if their existance was to please man originally.
P.S. I dissagree with that but thats how I think Christians, Catholics, and Roman Catholics should think.
Then, yes I agree the "secretive" part of a sex should be lifted. Our kids need to know what is safe and what isn't. I see a problem though...
Let's say schools begin to teach openly about sexual education. How far is too far? Personally, I think all healthy acts of both heterosexuals and homosexuals should be explained. I hate to get graphic here, but young homosexual boys need to be taught how to receive properly...if you get me. This means using an enema, condoms, lubrication, etc.
Sooooo....again, how far is too far? Should we teach how to properly give oral pleasure and what is safe and isn't? That sort of thing.
It depends - there isn't really an average. Some people are born and grow up knowing that they are exclusively to members of the same sex. Some only really (I use the word loosely) find out during pubescence.
nevet, I'm not sure that can ever be answered with a solid fact. It truly is dependent on EACH person. A good case would be my wife. She was married to a man once before. So, it's a matter of when a person accepts it to his/her self. Though, some people will tell you they knew at the age of 5 or something.
Wow, this subject has grown in the past few days...
But really, homosexuals have every right to be homosexual. What, are they an abomination? It is just not right to treat homosexuals, no- people, without respect.
My theory to women is that all Christian believers should think of women as our servants because in the bible it says Eve was created for Adam. So shouldnt women be our servants if their existance was to please man originally.
I am Catholic, and in the church it is not taught to treat women as inferiors.
Eve was supposed to have been created from a rib bone that God took from Adam's ribcage, for the purpose of providing him with company. However, I do not follow the bible very closely, since I do not believe it is factual. I do, however, believe in a God.
