Of course i beleive in santa, theres this fat guy that lives down the street from me who always dresses up as santa christmas eve and day and sits outside drinking, um, "spreading the cheer" haha. Not kidding, hes been doing that since i was a kid, so thats my santa haha
I think the problem is that we're so bombarded with "buy this" "buy that" with the image of santa slapped on that we've lost the true meaning behind him. One can only hope that it won't get much worse. It'd be so sad to have christmas become like the North Pole for Jack Frost in the Escape Clause [Santa Clause 3] (with Tim Allen)
I also found out today from this History magazine that Santa as we know him today was created by a Swedish cartoonist from Chicago named Haddon Sundblom who liked to draw fat men. The face he borrowed from his neighbor who later died so he just took it and then he stood in front of a mirror and drew his own body shape with the face.
I use to believe in him very much. I guess I still have a little belief for him.
I just do it though to make my little brothers Christmas great. We always put out the cookies for Santa and wake up super early on Christmas day to get presents. We still go to the mall to so he can see the "mall Santa". I won't take his belief for Santa away from him. That would be just cruel.
oh my god people still belive in santa that is a classic when i was like 7 i pulled off that fat guys beard and he started crying with the rest of the little kids man i was laghing hard when people beleved they dont no more
I just saw Santa Claus at the mall. Was actually sad though. Seeing it was an old man. It looked just like him though. Real beard, hair and everything. For X-mas though. I barely believe in him. Can't see why.
