as a pats fan, i must say that brady is better. and not just becuz of that, but several other factors as well.
playoff records
brady: 14-4
manning: 9-9
rings
Brady: 3
manning: 1
brady has won 3 rings with no-name WRs, he has the TD record when he finally got a good WR in moss, he has turned welker from no-name to a pro-bowler, his career rating is just 0.1 lower than that of manning's which so many manning fans love to fluant, and brady is being best right about now, and overall there avg stats are about the same. want proof? read em and weep manning fans.
i did this by taking away the 2010 season stats except for QB rating, then dividing it by the # of seasons they have played as a starter
brady: 3855 yds 7.4 YPA 28 TDs 12 Ints 63.6% Comp% QB Rating 94.7
manning: 4177 yds 7.6 YPA 30 TDs 15 Ints 64.9% Comp% QB Rating 94.9

if you ask me, these stats are overall similar, and when u throw in 3 Rings 14-4 vs 1 ring and 9-9, i would have to say that overall brady is better

GO PATS AND BRADY!

I'd have to say Ben Rothelsburgher tops them all by a long shot.

Uhg...Rothelsbugher is so over hyped it isn't funny. So is Pitsburg in general. Notice how their teams do piss poor, but then they have a few shining moments and boom! "Oh look at us we're so coooool! >.> Or have re forgotten that the Penguins almost went bankrupt a few seasons ago? Alas, I digress...

okay listen up. manning avgs are barely better than brady's. manning has lost to brady multiple times in the playoffs

Let me explain this simply fanboy. Even if Manning has slightly better stats, they're still better. Also when you deal with matches between the teams you have to deal with the TEAM! Last time I checked the Colts have a terrible running game and a subpar defence. The Pats have a good passing and running game and a terrible defence. Even still, you need to take EVERYTHING into consideration, just not one man.

and if brday is an avg joe QB, how is it that his QB Rating is 94.7

He didn't call Brady an average joe. He said you could put an average joe in Brady's postition and the Pats would still win.

add to that brady is 8-4 vs manning, mannign is afiling this year after the whole "manning can take a guy off the street and make him a pro bowler", how he just threw 11 picks in 3 games, brady's great success, and the 14-4 vs 9-9 in the playoffs, brady is better.

Brady nor Manning win or lose a game single handedly. You keep forgetting the TEAM aspect of this. Now, please stop this before you really embarass yourself.

team my foot. if manning is so great, and by the way the pats run game aint that great either, why camt he win? and by the way, 44 was lost by him. he had multiple chances to score b4 the pick. he didnt. sure brady didnt in 42, but at least he put his team up 14-10 with less than 3 to go. amnning had 5 to go, and he couldnt even get a FG.

oh plz. u just know that brday is better. but whatever. u like manning i like brady. can we agree to leave it at that?
cuz im tired of arguing this already. i just made it to see what the opinion was about it. but matrix pretty much forced me to keep it going.

I admit, they win ugly. Teams like Dallas, they win pretty. Still, a wins a wins a win.

plus, manning is a CHOKER. did u not see his games against the chargers in the playoffs? one of em, i forget which, he had 2 chances to score when down by 4. both times he cant score the TD. CHOKE. then 44, CHOKE PICK 6.

Your point being? Every quarterback, or team, for taht matter, has off days. The Jets had one recently, Greenbay, a few weeks ago as well. It happens to EVERYBODY, including your 'immortal' Tom Brady. Big woop.

add to that brady is 8-4 vs manning

No. Its actually New England that is 8-4 vs. Dallas.

but matrix pretty much forced me to keep it going.

I would have said that it was your baism that kept this going, but to use your own words:

but whatever

dude. there is NOTHING manning can do that brady cant. except throw a pick 6 in the SB. and really? your great peyton manning chooses to have his off day in the biggest game of his career? wow, talk about bad timing much.
second, dallas? when did we mention dallas? they are the INDIANAPOLIS colts. NOT the dallas colts. that alone makes me pretty sure ur opinion in this matter is irrelevant.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about how the N.E. Patriots were 8-4 to the Dallas Cowboys, not the Indianapolis Colts. That makes you the confused one.

And a few other things.
1. Why are you so heated about this topic?
2.
Brday

Brday

For a fanboy you don't seem to know how to spell their names.
3. It is a team game. There are other people on the field, and their skills affect the game just as much as the QBs, so personal records are more important than win/loss records if you are comparing individuals.

yep. to bad the INDIVIDUAL cost them 44 huh? and sry if i dont bother to check my spelling. its AG for pete's sake.
2nd, y would he mention dallas in the 1st place then? this is brady vs manning, and im pretty sure neither one plays for the cowboys. and by the way, they r also 8-4 vs indy, and brady has been doing in better QB rating for those games.
3rd, sry but i like to argue for my POV.

IF thats true, than why does Manning have better stats? Hmmm?

your great peyton manning chooses to have his off day in the biggest game of his career?

First, he's only human; he needs breaks. And he's not 'my' Manning; I'm a Steelers Fan, as I previously stated.

second, dallas? when did we mention dallas? they are the INDIANAPOLIS colts. NOT the dallas colts. that alone makes me pretty sure ur opinion in this matter is irrelevant.

... As I stated previously, I am only HUMAN. I make MISTAKES. And your poor grammar and ovbious biasm makes your view just as irrelevant as mine.

its AG for pete's sake.

Its not just your spelling; its poor sentence structure, improper use of predicates and the like, and I could go on. The problem with this is the fact that it makes your post that much harder to read and comprehend. As although you are human, and are prone to making a few mistakes, the amount you are currently making is unacceptable. Pull that crap off in the WEPR, and you'll get chewed out for it. SO were only trying to save you some grief now, and nip it in the bud.

yep. to bad the INDIVIDUAL cost them 44 huh?

So people have their bad days, so what? Matt Forte had a bad year last year, and is doing fine now. Brett Farve was BEAUTIFUL in his youth, and is easily having the worst year of his career. Athletes have bad games, and Tom Brady has had his share. This article pretty much counters everything you've said, and I suggest you read the following post as well.

Magical Linky

3rd, sry but i like to argue for my POV.

Which is as clear as the nose on your face that it is obviously fallacious.

However: I will concede that Tom Brady is better than Peighton Manning at one thing: Loosing hair.

Well, Brady's playoff numbers are second to only Joe montana in my opinion, which, ironically, was the player that Tom grew up idolizing. Based on that, Brady is the best QB in the NFL. I am very fond of Philip Rivers, San Diego's young quarterback who has been a starter for only four full seasons. The three's average stats:

Brady: 3855 yds 7.4 YPA 28 TDs 12 Ints 63.6% Comp% QB Rating 94.7

Manning: 4177 yds 7.6 YPA 30 TDs 15 Ints 64.9% Comp% QB Rating 94.9

Rivers: 3738 yds 7.8 YPA 27 TDs 11 Ints 63.0% Comp% QB Rating 97.2

If you ask me, the numbers are very similar, and those averages are even with all of those carries by LaDainian Tomlinson in Rivers' first two seasons; I'm saying that, in five years, Rivers will be on top.

Manning is the better quarterback for me because he has always played with no running game, and even this year he has no WR help.

If someone can look at head-to-head matchups too, that would be a good statistic.

Hey Roadripper, are you angry because Philip Rivers molested the 49ers pass defense yesterday? Boo hoo.
Oh, and here are those head-to-head matchups you wanted.

(Per Game Stats)
The two have faced each other 9 times in the regular season.

Manning: 298 yds 7.9 YPA 2 TDs 1 Ints 65.8% Comp% QB Rating 99.8

Brady: 247 yds 8.0 YPA 2 TDs 1 Ints 67.7% Comp% QB Rating 101.2

Brady is up 6-3 over Manning; overall, both these guys tep up their game when they face each other.

huh? well fry lock, im pretty sur ethose stats r right, but they've played 12 times, with the pats winning 8 of em.
next off, to maverick, when u have nearly 2500 more attempts than the other guy, it kinda figure u have the better stats.

Yes, I agree. However, Peighton Manning is older, so it would make sense for him to mess up more often than Tom Brady, which he isn't. This means that he has more skill.

Pretend-Lincoln/Douglas Match: Judge, since my oponent dropped the rest of my contentions, I am assuming that he aggrees with all points made, and I will continue to use the same argument from there on out.
