as a pats fan, i must say that brady is better. and not just becuz of that, but several other factors as well.
playoff records
brady: 14-4
manning: 9-9
rings
Brady: 3
manning: 1
brady has won 3 rings with no-name WRs, he has the TD record when he finally got a good WR in moss, he has turned welker from no-name to a pro-bowler, his career rating is just 0.1 lower than that of manning's which so many manning fans love to fluant, and brady is being best right about now, and overall there avg stats are about the same. want proof? read em and weep manning fans.
i did this by taking away the 2010 season stats except for QB rating, then dividing it by the # of seasons they have played as a starter
brady: 3855 yds 7.4 YPA 28 TDs 12 Ints 63.6% Comp% QB Rating 94.7
manning: 4177 yds 7.6 YPA 30 TDs 15 Ints 64.9% Comp% QB Rating 94.9

if you ask me, these stats are overall similar, and when u throw in 3 Rings 14-4 vs 1 ring and 9-9, i would have to say that overall brady is better

GO PATS AND BRADY!

Yes, I went on his about, and he just joined today. Only one point - a forum post. Hmm? Yep, the Peyton Manning fanboys are hellbent on winning a silly, meaningless Armor Games catfight just so they can take pride in themselves that they helped forward Peyton Manning's "legacy."

Meh, I don't see any fanboys. I see facts being posted about both of the Quarterbacks. He might've choose that name just to post his two cents on the thread. But he's bringing facts to the thread.
Not: "MANNING FTW!" or any of that senseless stuff.

jdoggparty pretty much summed it up. Everyone stated that facts and opinions on the matter and most agree that Peyton Manning is a superior quarterback.

I would have to say Tom Brady is an all around better QB. He has more rings. Can't deny facts people!

manning's career avg's are barely any higher than brady's.
brady has the better TD-Int ratio
the higher QB Rating.
fastest to reach 100 wins, most TDs in a season and a quarter.
he has 335 passes without an int.
he's 8-4 vs manning, and in those games, he also has the higher QB Rating in those games.
he has 3 rings to just 1 for manning. he is 14-4 in the playoffs, with just 1 one-and-done playoff appearance. manning has 7, including yesterday's(albeit i cant blame manning for that one. the colts D pulled a pats D in 42, where both gave up late leads), and is only 9-10 in the playoffs.

1) There still higher, though. 'Whether you win by an inch or a mile, a win is still a win'. Can't remember who said that, but it holds true here.

2) Brady hasn't played as long as Manning, so his averages are going to be better as he hasn't had the same time to make mistakes. Also, Manning was drafted and started his Rookie year, wheras Brady scarecly played his Rookie year at all.

3) (see number 2)

4) Football is a team sport. So, Brady being on the better team, he wins more.

5) Because his wide recievers can catch. Again, football is a TEAM sport. (see number 4)

6) I refer you to 'COLTSFANALLDAY's post.

7) Rings don't matter at all. Foot ball is a team sport, and for some reason, they give the Super Bowl rings to the entire team. And your on parenthesis defeats your point: Brady is on a better team, so he does better as an individual. It the Pats lost Brady, they wouldn't suffer to much. It the Colts lost Manning, they'd be similar to the Browns on a threat level.

I'm a Pitt fan, so really, I should be trying to make arguments for Big Ben. If you read the OP's post, you'll realize that he's just as 'hellbent' as the rest of us, if not more.

Indeed. And for facts, i would look through the first few pages, and/or a JDoggs super post above. We've killed the ring argument. For starters, football is a TEAM sport. So, Brady being on the better team, it would make sense logicallyl for him to have more rings. And he does.

why not let tom brady have a chance to take the spot light?

Because that would be denying the truth, and we can't have that.

Maverick4......

If Brady played his whole rookie year he still would be about 100+ TD'S back......

if brady played 13 seasons like manning has done, he'd have (based on career avgs)

50,000+ yds
275 TDs give or take a few
135 ints
63.6 comp%
95.2 rating

that's every bit as good as all of manning's stats.

and also, if u compare brady's first 9 years to manning'd first 9 years, their stats are VERY similar.

if u wnat them, post em on here and put them all on, and i'll get the info. from NFL.com.

In the playoffs Brady has Manning beat down, but in overall stats Manning is better but he also got to start as a rookie and he's in a style of offense which doesn't run the ball worth flip.

You have to look behind the stats though. Does Tom Brady call his own plays? No. Do the Colts have an amazing coach that can make the players great. No, the Patriots do.

So if they have the same stats, and you look at those two facts up there, then Manning > Brady

I get what your saying but you have to give Brady some credit, even after being mentored by Drew Bledsoe and winning 3 SB's. Brady's great but if Manning ever becomes a head coach or Quarterback coach and drafts a QB 1st round, the QB he teaches will most likely be elite.

And play calling is just having knowledge of a defense and all of their schemes. Manning being starter since his rookie debut gives him the edge over Brady.

I know, but having knowledge of the defence is very important. Brady doesn't have as much knowledge, Belichik might give him audibles from the sideline.

Well that also puts Bellichek as one of the greatest coaches of all time.

I agree with that. Bellichek is a great coach, and thats what makes the Patriots so great. Not Brady. Manning is what makes the Colts so great, not their coach.
