I love writing Haikus. My best friend taught me how to write them. He said ' It's not that hard. All you have to do is learn.' So I did and I fell in love with them. Here's my first Haiku:

Clear like Crystals
It is clear, you know
that what some don't know, we do
albeit, they will.

New Theme, Trooper? How about...we go a step further...Aha!
Theme - You spaced out

It's raining, oh boy
I see the stars die in your
eyes, so pathetic

Ahhhhh...forgot the 's' after 'burn'. FIX

A haiku for someone.
His heart burns cold, hard
I looked into his eyes and
he recoiled from me

Disclaimer: My haikus are dedicated to someone in particular but no one on this thread. Just to let people know in case they sound over the top.

You spaced out
I looked at the sky.
Imagined of my future.
Their is no future.

Flightless agony
My wings torn apart.
Betrayed by those I trusted.
let fall down to death.

Caste system
We try to rid of.
It will always remain their.
It seems fair to all.

Mistaken Folly
This flag of hatred,
made from the blood of our loved,
was passed down to us.

So I heard you can post dem random haikus up in hurr and it's what all the cool kids are doin' these days.

Two inspired by the haiku contest:
Michael is full of
love and hate, searching for his
dear sister Laurie.

Jason was loving
till he drowned at Crystal Lake;
now he pursues kids.

e-cookie for those that get it.

Now about a flash game I made:
You gotta love Blocks;
it's easy and appealing
all you could ask for.

Any rules for contractions in haikus? Such as does a word like "it's" count as one syllable or two?

You spaced out

There you go again
Completely muting the world

Yes. There are. 'It's' is one word. All contracted words count as one word.

Purple rain's falling
the skies are turning blue now
and you are crying

Warrior
Fights for those he loves.
Fights with all he has at hand.
Fights till he drops dead.

Warrior

Fights those who oppose
Protects those who fight with him
All in a days work.

(That was horrible)

That wasn't bad. It's actually pretty good. Don't undermine yourself. Good work. Keep trying!

Brothers
They are jerks at times.
They love you without knowing.
I look up to you.
