Okay, well as we all know, Exit Path 2 is going to be released. Since we now have confirmation from John that there will be private rooms, I think that a tournament is in order since so many people have been wanting to do that.
This tournament will be set 3 days after the official game(not the beta) is released. That way we can get to know the stages a little first. So expect this to happen around the July-August area.
Number of participants will depend on how many people apply. I plan for this not to be more than about 64 or 128 people, so if more than that apply(unlikely), I will simply do a first come first served basis.
Here are the rules to enter:
1. You must have played at last 1,000 matches on the original Exit Path.
2. You must sign up on here by simply stating you want to enter.
3. When you sign up, post your stats (meaning matches, wins, etc.) so I know that you have at least 1,000 matches
, and your win %from Exit Path(original) will determine your seeding, much like in a professional sports league.
As for racing rules, I can't post many right now because we don't really know the gameplay yet.
The only rules right now is that the rooms will be 4 people each.
Also, those who were given access to the beta will be put into the same 1st round mtaches whenever possible because those who playd the beta will have an unfair advantage over those who did not.
How to advance to next round:
Each room will play 25 races, with the 2 plyers with the most wins will advance to the next round.
This will continue until we are down to only 2 players remaining, where the 2 will play 1 final round of 15 races.
Also, Epicness raised a point to me that might be interesting that if maybe a mod. or admin. agrees, maybe the winner of the tournament will get a merit. Keep in mind this is not for sure, just a thought.
Thank you for reading all this(if you were crazy enough to read all this), and please enter.
lol he has this one filled with all the stats he needs. i dont think he will delete it
I asked john to let the winner have a merit he hasnt responded yet
well Soooorry malkoir... I'll stop using third person just for you.
Well I guess I'll come out of retirement for this. Unfortunately all my stats seemed to have been erased, I could try to make a quick run to grandmaster on one of my accounts and upload screenshots later. Either way I'll be checking back on this thread. Happy racing!
What do you guys think? 1 thread to discuss the rules, 1 thread for sign up? Yay or nay?
Just a side-note: From now on, the updated list can be found on my profile in it's entirety (I already made 2 changes to the list above). I'll try to keep it as up-to-date as possible.
that is really awsome tart i think you made zs life much easier now XD
it requires 1k match epicik that dragon <_< and why am i personally ur opponent tarty xD?
nd why am i personally ur opponent tarty xD?
Alright, just did a few runs to see how I was doing and get a rough estimate of my percentage. I'd put it around 70% give or take like 2%. As for the number of races, I'd say over all my accounts, probably 2500-3000. It's probably higher than that, but I'm really just shooting in the dark here.
I seriously thank you Kenty. As blue said, you have just made my life a whole lot easier.
And dang, I used to think a 44% win% was good too. It's barely top 20 on here. Maybe I'll race some noobs and get that up(not really, I don't do that, and I hate people who do that).
It's no preblem really no problem. I just try and do my part to make the tournament the best it can be ^^
And I think 44% is actually a good seed where this tournament is concerned, because the middle-ish seeds will obviously have the most balanced match-ups. Of course, having high seeds helps too, but that's harder to maintain xP
My apologies for double post, but Kenty, you would actually have not only epicness, but 1 of the folks in the middle, and probably another from the bottom.
What I plan on doing is seperating the entrees into 4 groups. There will be a group 1(highest win%'s), group 2(2nd highest win%'s), group 3(I think you get the idea now), group 4(worst win%'s). The top win% would play against the lowest win%, and then the top win% from group 2 and the bottom from group 3 would also join those 2.
Does that make sense?
So if we divide the current 28(I am not inlcuding the bottom 2 win%'s just for simplicites sake) into 4 groups, we get(I will be using nicknames here if I know the person):
Group 1:
Malkoir
Zero
Matrix
Pain
thebluerabbit
Fastspeed
Joshua12323
Group 2:
BlueTone
Kenty
plaer
Faith
wezzeldurf
NontroppO
MagicTales
Group 3:
HulkLogan
LegitGamer
johnmerz
Assassin
Snowrut
Zultimategamer2000(me)
Rawwr123
Group 4:
Epicness
DaisyKing
MachineOfLight
Gladio
redleopard
SoymasterYos
ClaudeoDeusEst
So the first match would be
Malkoir, ClaudeoDeusEst, Rawwr123, BlueTone
After the first round is complete, I will again organize it into 4 groups, and continue with this same system. Does this work for you guys? Yes or no?
Lastly, if the number of participants is not divisible by 4, then the last 4 to enter would have to race each other for the needed spots, regardless of his/ her win%.
For example, if we have 31 players, then the last 4 to enter would play each other for 1 spot, since we need to cut out 3 players. If it were 30, then the last 4 would play each other for 2 spots. Sound fair enough?
