Jesus did not return in the same form after his resurrection because people he knew did not recognize his new form.

But there were people who did recognize him after resurrecting in the story. He even still had the wounds that were inflicted on him.

Also, to clarify, you will not be raised up like a zombie in the form of a decrepid body. It is apparent that Jesus did not return in the same form after his resurrection because people he knew did not recognize his new form.

Because he had holes in his body. Like a zombie. That is usually how zombies are depicted, except by the wounds that killed them respectively.

Oh! Another lie from the RCC was the cross. Yes, their most prominent symbol to remind people of Christ was (and is) actually a Pagan symbol that had nothing to do with Jesus. He was not killed on a cross with his arms spread, but a torture stake (a singular pillar by the old meaning) with his arms tacked above his head. (I hope the Image link works)

I can see that, considering the Ankh looks like a cross and is used to represent eternal life, without being as lame or a torture device.

@MGW
People say that prayer all the time and believe in it without knowing its meaning. That particular part about THY KINGDOME COME is a prophecy in itself stating that God's kingdom will come to earth. Read Revelations. That should help.
I don't know if you are agreeing or arguing with me (I don't really care which) about the RCC and the NT, but the RCC created and taught the NT (in its modern form) in the 1500s with their own twisted interpretation.

Originally the cross now used as a Christian symbol was a symbol of death.

As for the shape of the cross it wasn't just one shape. Given the T shaped cross was a symbol of death it would make sense that such a cross would have been used.

You may have been correct on the cross part, but I am arguing against you. So how do you till what was a "corruption" and what was correct?

When you read the bible for yourself see what agrees with their teachings and what dosen't. What dosen't match up is the corruption.

So basically your cherry picking the hell out of it? How can you tell the teachings aren't corrupted given the source material is?

It depends on who is teaching.
I don't really hear much about hell but I guess it depends on the Christian calendar.

I am not saying the bible is perfect. I am saying that the RCC should agree with their own source material. They cannot even do that.

There are so many contradictions in the Bible no one could completely agree with everything.

To respond to the Original Post: the reason many people are confused about hell is because the RCC decided to profit by making it a place of eternal torture. In true Christianity She'ol/Hell is merely a resting place, the common grave of all mankind, until resurrection. The reason people die and go there is because we sin and sin is born into us.

Most of the modern perception of Hell is actually not Biblical at all, it's predominately from "Dante's Inferno".

God made hell for the devil and all of his demons and not for man. As soon as man stopped following God (biting the apple) they were banished and punished out of eden, opening hell to the wicked. However, after a while God saw that there was only one holy man on earth, Noah, at the time and regretted making man. So he flooded the earth, and put two of each animal into Noah's ark to make them not extinct. After another while he declared that every man needs a second chance, so he sent Jesus to die for everyone who receives him's sins. Thus saving mankind from total darkness, and bringing them back from banishment.

Please, please, please tell me you at least don't litterally believe that story.

God made hell for the devil and all of his demons and not for man.

Which begs the question as to why god would have made the devil and all of his demons.

so he sent Jesus to die for everyone who receives him's sins.

So all powerful, omnipotent and omniscient god needs to have a human sacrifice to give someone a second chance? I don't think so, I think this is just people making up a story.
