It's only the minority that twist and manipulate it that are evil, religion in itself is not inherently evil.

I believe racism is. It causes people to judge people only for their accent/skin color etc.
Example that popped into mind first: Kyu Klux Klan. A entire clan of people, despising anyone that is not white. How ridiculous is that?

The world is full of problems, I don't think there's one that is more of a problem but if I was going to pick five I would say (not in any particular order:
Prejudice (racism, anti ginger homophobia etc.)
Extremism (extreme religion, KKK etc.)
Terrible country leaders (there haven't been any inspirational leaders in years)
The economy (It's just going to get worse my friends)
Violence (recent London riots, wars etc.)

I believe that the biggest problem our country has is overpopulation. Just a few days ago, we reached 7 billion people on Earth, and the way we are going, that population will double quickly. These high populations make for extreme overcrowding in the most populous of these countries and cause poor standards of living due to the amount of people said countries have to take care of (just take a look a places like India and Bangladesh). Not only that, but we are very much taxing our natural resources with this over population. We need to be able to solve this quickly.

That is a very good point...

I agree with Waluigi, Overpopulation is just creating a breeding ground fro other problems. I almost guarantee that in a few years there will be another super flu that cuts down our population to size. Not only that, but we will run out of food. The earth can only sustain so many people and getting close to the limit.

There is enough potential/resources to feed a population much larger than the one we have today; we just aren't using the land properly.

Just realized I typed "our country" instead of "the world". Sorry about that.
Anyways, I did a quick calculation with some of the stats given in that article; only 36% of arable land is being used for farming. We definitely need to use more, seeing as there are already tons of people out there who are underfed with our current population.

And there are those that are simply overfed.....Also bear in mind that science keeps producing seeds that bear more yield. We still have hope.

Well, yes. Although I'm sure we'd be already capable of feeding everyone, if only the system was different.

conservative religious people

Make that conservative people of all kinds, and add fundamentalists and extremists of all kind, and you're even closer.

I actually have no qualms with conservatives overall, conservatives with a slight liberal strain are good, they don't rush things, but they don't stagnate in the end. Depends on the degree in the end.

I think that the major problem is the struggle for peace. Why do we have to keep fighting? If this keeps up, we will inevitably face a catastrophe, but mankind will not come together as a whole to save us all. We have had glimpses of this, so there is still hope left. For instance, the earthquake in Haiti was huge. If we saw anything from the efforts to help, we saw a darn good generosity of other countries. The hospitality of our nations are not to be trifled with, but must be nurtured. With all of these wars and battles happening, we are destroying the original peace and greatness mankind was destined for.
