Drug abuse? Violence? Racism? Disease? Starvation? War? Something else? Support your reasoning.

I believe that the single biggest problem in our world is people who believe everything should be a certain way. It's people like that who have set our entire civilization back who knows how many years. If the rest of the world was more accepting and open-minded, we would probably have very few conflicts in our world.

I believe the biggest problem of today's society is that, NO MATTER HOW UNJUDGEDMENTAL YOU MAY BE (ignore my spelling), we can find SOMETHING wrong with every other person...

And we all use our weakness to make ourselves weak...

The fact that our lives are so constructed and shaped out, and the amount of choice that we really actually have is so utterly limited. I go to work today, I go to work tomorrow, repeat that for another three days, two days off, repeat process. We spend our whole childhood stuck in school being taught a bunch of BS that we could really care less about at that point in our lives, rather than waiting until we are grown up a bit and actually interested in learning those kinds of things. If I want to leave my country I need a little piece of paper and a picture of myself. If I want to by booze i need to be X amount of years old and again have a picture of myself. I can't smoke inside a building, or even a car now with a child under 18 years of age. Forced to vote for a selection of Politicians that I don't like, to run and govern my country.

I guess I would say freedom, except that is such a strong word, perhaps more along the lines of 'choice'....

I say ignorance. Ignorance leads to any other problem you can think of. If you don't believe that statement, give me any other problem and I will show you how it is a problem due to ignorance at some level.

But here is my actual reasoning. If you are ignorant in some facet of life, then you invariably make a mistake. This isn't a problem, we learn from our mistakes. Humanity as a whole learns from its mistakes (out history) If we learn from history, we won't repeat the mistakes made by our ancestors. But, the majority of people are ignorant of their history, so we see problems repeating themselves.

Ignorance of what constitutes excess leads to hoarding and wasting resources that could be shared with others. Ignorance of respect/ disrespecting other cultures leads to war. Ignorance in terms of healthy food and activity leads to obesity and all sorts of diseases. Ignorance of safe sex leads to the spread of STD's. Most dangerous perhaps is ignorance of the impact of your personal choices in terms of consumerism. You keep buying, the capitalsit machine keeps devouring the earth to spit out more products so you can keep buying. It is a cycle of destruction. There you have it. Ignorance is the world's biggest problem.
