...Care to flesh things out a little? Also, it isn't just the U.S. in Afghanistan, there are lots of other countries involved.

Not to sound arrogant, but we're pretty much the bulk of the force there. And destruction, influence, killing, etc.

Oh, and since there isn't much to say about the original post...
I'll say..
I don't like it

Yeah but it's kinda disrespectful to all the countries that have fought alongside the US and lost soldiers to make it seem like the US is the only country fighting.

He's right tho. US has 90,000 troops in Afghanistan. The next runner-up is the UK with 9,500; Germany with about 4800; France with about 4000. All the other allies together have about half as many troops in the war as the US.

Here's Wiki (scroll down a page to find those numbers)

I didn't say I was proud of it, or not proud of it for that matter. I was making an objective factual statement. ArmedBlade claimed that the US is the bulk force of the war and (at least by number of troops) that point is correct.

The US has roughly 90,000 troops in Afghanistan and has suffered roughly 1500 fatalities. The UK has roughly a tenth of that but has suffered roughly a fifth of the number of fatalities. I guess I did overreact a little earlier, sorry about that, it's just the UK has suffered a lot of losses too.

Honestly, this war is killing us...not just our troops, but our economy. I have a graph from another thread (which I'm too lazy to copy + paste here) that shows how much we spend compared to other countries. According to that graph, we spend almost half a trillion dollars on our military (I'd assume annually).

I believe that because America are there to kill terrorists and get oil, they should continue on.

No no, You are wrong. We spend more. 835 Billion is what I'm able to find. So over 83% of a trillion. I presume that isn't including retired military pensions, but that could be wrong.

I believe that because America are there to kill terrorists and get oil, they should continue on.

Imperialism is dead. I'm American, but even I'm not riding on the 'America should kill all and win' boat. It'll turn our country into rubble.

I guess I did overreact a little earlier, sorry about that, it's just the UK has suffered a lot of losses too.

Yeah, I didn't mean to say the US is overshadowing the importance of other countries helping out, its always bad to lose soldiers. Yet, with the next nation being 10% of what the US is putting in, its clear that we started this mess, and that, if our war craze ends, we will end it.

yea be proud your in war. xD

Just because we stated the US has more troops doesn't mean we're jolly good supporters of it. It does suck, though, wish we could just pull out. Our hopes of stabilizing a place like Afghanistan within a few years as our objective towards international security are not realistic.

I think it is personally a waste of money! We spend a billion dollars a month on that war!

Then again, you get oil and a foothold in a strategic area next to Pakistan,Iran, China and Russia.
