Im young and my mind is easly puesuraded... i want to open my mind to the views of other people, to see what they think and grip a new understanding of the world...
first i want to know what your view on america is.
1 f*cked country that thinks of itself as the greatest of all wich is by far not the case. loads of arrogant people. and more bloodthirsty then any other country.
see ithink that some of our leaders (george bush) wernt the best... and i agree we have 2 many unneed wars
You mean Obama of couse. Bush wasn't amazing but he was far better than Obama. Obama f**ked up our economy more in 3 years then Bush did in 8.
The 1984 election was such a bloodbath was because Mondale was going to raise taxes, a bad thing to revive an economy. The same thing Obama is doing now is what 49 states did not want in 1984.
Obama f**ked up our economy more in 3 years then Bush did in 8
hahahaha the usa debt was already rocketing when bush jr. started his 2nd 4 years. usa was already warned for it during that time by china and europe. but just like after 9/11 he ignored it. you can't blame obama for your debt.
obama is by far less worse for the rest of the world then bush was. but still did obama start a war. but thats just because it's tradition. your not a real usa president if you didn't start a war i guess.
I agree with bigfatkitty. I remember watching CNN and they were showing the economy during Bush, and during Obama. In Bush's time the economy plummeted, then in Obama's time it still went down but slower. Obama's not making things much better because he's not being rough enough but it's better then another term with Bush.
My view on America? ****ty. The tourists from there tend to have bowel problems.
In all seriousness, America is the self thought police force of the world. Or one of them anyways. It does a terrible job with its own management and its not exactly friendly to the public.
When its off duty it'll come to your house and crash, make a mess of things and before they leave, they ask for oil- rewards for their "humane" mission.
At home, they'll lend stuff out to people, the people go bankrupt faster then a knife cuts through butter, and the bankers go bankrupt as well as anyone who have investments with them. Go figure.
All in all America is not well liked by me, and probably the majority of anyone outside America. But lets be fair as well. Historically, America has been a good place of innovation and it was the closest thing to a duly elected government within any nation besides Holland. Later on it was the stage for human rights movements and emancipation, and it inspired many other nations to reform their own governments.
America is like any other giant of the world. Its hated, it smells, but it has made its impression. Sure, there is arrogance within the population of the nation, but there has been some bright individuals and rather good people as well.
As for the debate on who is worse, Obama or Dipshat junior, I'll go with the latter. Obama may be a do nothing-do well, spineless and weak, but he's not as destructive, idiotic and useless as George Bush Jr. was. At one point George Bush Jr. said something. "I have no strategy.."
He was being honest at least.
There was no evidence of W MD's(weapons of mass destruction) within Iraq. Suffice to say the whole mission there was a waste of time and of peoples lives.
His management of the economy was even worse. The problem wasn't start with Bush or Obama though. It happened with Ronald Reagan's terrible economic "reforms" that doomed the United States economy to a plunge if there was an upset with any of the major economical players, of which there was with the American banking system.
Obama inherited a plethora of problems after, and he's tried to postpone the inevitable, but he could've done much better at his job. America needs a titan of economics to pull them out of this mess. Debt is at an all time high, and unemployment is like the common cold. Except its even harder to get rid of.
I found it funny how Clinton was impeached due to sexual deviancy in his term, yet he was able to stabilize and ensure the economy didn't go into a free fall with Reagan's economic model. Yet George Bush was infamous for war crimes and for the fact he could not even write his own speeches, yet he was elected twice.
That's my view on America. The fact your title said "What are your world views?" yet the subject is what is your view upon America is suffice to say why I think America is arrogant. But that's trivial and I won't dwell on it. Either way I hope for the best for the good people in America and I fear that it won't get better for those who did tried to be hard working and peaceful with others.
My view of America when i was younger was that it was this great, big, rich country where all your dreams came true.
As i got older and began learning about Americas corruption, i began to despise the place. I followed the news, the war on terror, every wrong move politicians made and started hating the country.
Then i actually went to America and hey, my dreams came true.
I have a lot of resentment for the place, but i guess i have no real reason. It's not like any of the politics affect me personally. At least not at the minute. I just don't agree with how corporate the businesses are, how corrupt the politics are. I'm against war altogether so i guess that's a big downfall on their likeability from me.
Another thing i hate is immigration. I hear a lot of Americans saying the immigration system is too relaxed and illegal immigrants have an easy time. This may be true in some cases and i have full respect for those who sneak in and steal citizenship because it's a hard process. For me to live with the person i was dating and work, i have to pay a lot of money and that was only for a four month working visa. Which i have to renew yearly at the same cost (And it's only available until i graduate).
This should be called the rant thread. I hate what America has become. But as for the actual place and the people, i love them :]
All that is needed is simply a wake up call and reform. America should focus on itself, and stop trying to be the police force of the world. If it did that, it could easily become great again. Something that people speak highly of, and not despise because of what atrocities its done and how its economy is such a hoot.
1 f*cked country that thinks of itself as the greatest of all wich is by far not the case. loads of arrogant people. and more bloodthirsty then any other country.[/quote]
Well, something like that.
But I think it became a better country when Obama came.
I think there are some very broad generalizations here. Sure, America has screwed up, but so have many, many other countries. People just pay attention to America more, because we're louder and richer. I'm not saying there aren't bad things about America, but there are also some great things, just like every other country in the world.
I think America is one of the worst countries in the western world. I'm not going to explain myself, but over the years I got the feeling that they have the feeling that they rule and own the world.
say you are in your room and it is messy... the guy across the street come into your hoouse and beats the crap out of you beacuse your room is dirty... then expect you to like him.... i wonder why you wouldnt like him?
