If God were proven beyond any doubt, if God literally appeared out of the sky to all of the world to see and proclaimed him/her/itself to be God, would you accept it? Would you be able to toss your previous beliefs aside and accept the fact that there would be a God in your life?
Yes, I would accept it if it was a fact. After, of course, some mental tests.
But of course that doesn't mean I would accept it. If it was a bloodthirsty god like Yawheh I would start investing in iron chariots and start a revelation....Or die trying.
This is theoretical. You would not be in a dream or a dream state, and a god would proclaim to you that it is in fact a God, and it would be able to prove it by performing any trick your little heart desires. THEN would you accept it?

thats some really grim stuff dude.
I'm sure that when you put in that situation, most would either accept him, or get turned into a pillar of salt/ash/stone. seeing as to how humanity's largest subconcious function is self-preservation, I'm sure almost, if not all will bow before their new god.
I would accept that at least one God exists. But there are no beliefs to toss aside as atheism is the lack of belief. I would probably not accept God into my life though.
technically, none of us said god was in the sky. for all we know, he could be in the 7th dimension and letting the earth run on auto-pilot while he takes a quick break (That sounded really sacreligious, but you get the idea).

He lost to chariots made of iron/scythes. I think we can take him with actual tanks.
umm...I'm completely positive that won't work, but you are welcome to try should the need arise. btw, where did that info come from?
The Bible.
Judges 1:19 And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
I agree with Mage, while I would accept his/her/it's existence, it remains to be seen whether or not I would actually consider this god worthy of worship.
