Hello. While I was exploring AG-based Xats, I've met several unactive/banned/"old-school" AG Users. Most of them said that, one of the main reasons to their inactivity here is that the site was better before.

Is that true?

How better? They say that the threads had more quality back in time.

Well, I can't tell if it was. I joined June 26th, so that's not too much knowledge on our awesome site...

Merits are not written. When I say "merit attempt," I mean a game review that could be a merit.

it would be interesting to see a feature like that in v3

Firstly, it could not have been a merit because it sucked, secondly:

means you tried to get a merit.

I know, but

Attempting to get a merit =/= writing a merit since no comment is guaranteed to be worth a merit.

It didn't seem sucky to me when I posted it, so it was still a merit attempt, which failed.

Anyway, I think that's enough critique/criticism, so I think we should change the topic to a different aspect now.

Er...Reputation system is for the community, not the comments made on the posts, besides such a distinction should be left up to the moderators or admins, not the everyday user.

Game review merits used to be a joke. Now they're barely given out.

At least merits have their purposes for the AMW contests.

They're barely given out because few people these days bother to write intricate reviews, but few people these days bother to write intricate reviews because merits are hardly given out.
