Anyways we should be scared of Sharia because it gets rid of Democracy and the freedom to do most things.. especially for women!

That my friend, is Islamophobia.

Actually, it's a valid fear given what Sharia laws spell.

Islamophobia describes prejudice against, hatred or irrational fear of Islam or Muslims. Prejudices run on false claims and vicious stereotypes, which certainly is not the case here given that it's true.

What there is to fear sharia?

Harsh and strict laws that thread into our own freedom, particularly women. Some examples:

-A Muslim woman may marry only a Muslim man.

-Amputation of hands or feet (for theft and highway robbery without homicide)

-Flogging with a varying number of strokes (for drinking).

-The punishment of adulterers under Islamic law is stoning.

Such penalties may have been suitable for the age in which Muhammad lived. However, as societies have since progressed and become more peaceful and ordered, they are not suitable any longer.

What you linked me is about freedom of speech?

Islamic jurists have traditionally held that Muslim women may enter into marriage with only Muslim men, although some contemporary jurists question the basis of this restriction. On the other hand, the Quran allows a Muslim man to marry a chaste woman from the People of the Book, a term that includes Jews, Sabians, and Christians.

It's still inequality. Also, don't tell me to study about Sharia Law when clearly you have not done so. When I found those examples, I have already proven myself to have done my research.

As per Islam child is considered of father i.e a muslim mans son will b considered muslim and of a christian man son christian. That is why a muslim man can marry a nonmuslim woman but a muslim woman cant marry a non muslim man.
Yes i am not a lawyer or something but i still know about most of the common laws.

That is already discriminatory in nature, something that infringes on the rights of individuals. It is extremely sexist, why must a child be considered ''more'' of his father's compared to his mothers?

That is what most people fear about Sharia Law. Also your explanation makes no sense, so what if a child is considered a Muslim or Christian according to his/her father? Does that somehow justify why when they grow up the Muslim girl can't marry a Christian man, but a Muslim man can marry a Christian girl?

No.

Knowing is one thing, making credible arguments quite another.

A father's name is different from the right to marry who you want. Legally names can be easily changed; marriage is a whole different level.

It's blatantly discriminating to allow men one thing and ban women from the other. Lineage is a rather petty and shallow reason tbh.

That's for you to believe. I and the non-Muslim community respectfully disagree that letting one be a slave is a good thing. It infringes on the rights of the person in question; All men and women should be treated fairly in the eyes of democracy.

One of my friends is a Muslim and he's the jolliest person in the world. If a meteor was going to hit Earth he would laugh. All this anti Islam stuff really annoys me.

Urghh...yes we condemn all the mindless hating, but I find it hard not to hate on the certain minority.

Actually, it is but one of the many things we diverge on. The severity of the punishments meted out for one, you have not dealt with.
