K, so, this is a general discussion where people share tips about surviving the Zombie Apocalypse. The only requirements here are to remember how far the nearest weapon/grocery store is, or how populated the place you live in is. The larger the spot, the more the zombies. So, you can discuss your basic plan about how to survive, but first, ask yourself some questions, like:
1: What kind of resources do I have?
2: What kind of weapons are available to me now?
2: Where will I go?
Tell about what your main weapon would be (it doesn't have to be a gun), or where you'll go, or if you can improvise.
My main weapons would have to be a shotgun (easy handling, can take out numerous zombies in one shot) or a rifle, and my melee weapon would be a crowbar or an axe, and secondary would be a kitchen or jack knife.

Okay, the problem is what type of zombie we're talking about.
A zombie is a zombie... What more do you wanna know...?

The oxygen enters through the lungs and travels through the bloodstream in a human. But the chemical in zombies replaces the oxygen in the mitochondria so it can still synthesise ATP for energy.

Oh okay then. So would any head damage count. Or would you need to compleatly destroy the brain. Because head damage done to people is more effective since pain is also a factor.Would that mean that something like a regular bat wouldn't be as effective?

Well, there are your classic slow, lumbering zombies, or your new, fast ones. The slow ones are really dead: You have to destroy the brain. The fast ones are infected with a virus: They're still human, they're just sick. You can shoot anywhere and it will die from blood loss.

its plain and simple:
1. get in a house, seal the house off.
2. have weapons, and a few vehicles.
3. make sure there is canned foor and water for about 3 weeks.
4. stay put, dont play hero, dont use lights, and dont screw around.
5.stay calm.
6. seal off the basement... you never know where they will come from.

What about if you're in a city? Would there still be a way to survive?

A normal bat is affective, but you would need to crack open the skull in order to scrape the brains out . Only brain destruction is enough to kill a zombie.

Oh right. So you're talking about a scenario whereby the infected get turned into zombies and the infected humans are still normal? No. The infection kills the human. And the dead are turning into zombies. But anyway if this was the case, you aim for the heart on the humans (including the ones that aren't infected yet, but they have been bitten and the zombification is still in the incubation stage...). That way they die easy. If you miss it'll still hit the chest and they'll be incapacitated then it is easy to walk up to them and finish them off with a headshot. If it is a normal zombie, then just bash its brains out with a baseball bat or a cricket bat or whatever... So obviously I'm talking about normal zombies. Else humans get a bullet in between their eyes they die the same way, but a shot in the stomach or chest? I'm not sure if that is a fatality. It depends on whether blood loss is the only thing that they can die from or if they can die from damaged organs as well. There is a difference. Organ failure is when your liver or whatever stops operating and you die. Blood loss is when not enough blood is being pumped around your body and therefore the oxygen needed for your mitochondria to synthesise ATP for Active Transport when it comes down to the organs that need Active Transport the most (Liver, Heart and Brain need most amount of oxygen). There is a difference to organ failure and blood loss. Can infected humans die of organ failure too like normal humans can? Or only blood loss? If they can die of normal fatal injuries then you're probably talking about not zombies like the infected humans suffering from an infection known as "Rage" off 28 Weeks Later... They aren't zombies... They are humans locked in a permanent state of homocidal rage. They are just humans who have gone mad with the Rage infection and started killing humans in their homocidal rage. Whereas zombies are flesh craving brain dead corpses that are bodily functioning but absolutely dumb and are the undead. They are two completely categories of human life, death, and undead. It just depends on whether your referring to those types of infected human, in which case they aren't zombies at all. Or if your referring to classic zombies.. It all just depends...

Don't be an idiot. You'd run out of food within the week, then what you gonna do? Naturally the American government might've invented a cure by then and released it into the atmosphere (if it is air based...) but they might not have. Then you'd have to go out to get food. Then you'd be eaten by hordes of zombies pouring out of every corner of the city whence they've run out of food too. You'd be overwhelmed and torn to pieces... Haven't thought it through, have you...?
What about if you're in a city? Would there still be a way to survive?
Yeah, of course, but only if the zombie apocalypse is ended quickly. Once the majority of the city have become zombies, it's probably best to leave the city because then you won't become overwhelmed by zombies, eaten and killed...

That's true, but I don't think that humans would be able to invent a floating fortress because they'd all be killed before they had a chance to unless they preempted it and that would seem suspicious to the public, wouldn't it? That they managed to preempt the zombie apocalypse because that would mean to say that scientists are to blame because they know that they caused it and the government because they sanctioned it...

But in order to do that you'd need fuel. Either to fly the floating fortress because you'd need fuel to operate the turbo thrusters or to heat water to produce steam to blast it against a turbine to turn a generator to spin the coil inside the magnet to induce electricity to operate the superconducting electromagnetic propulsion stabiliser that uses the magnetic core of the Earth to keep it in the air. Or the electricity to suck in air and blast it at the ground to keep it up in the air. And something that heavy couldn't be kept in the air by rotary blades, so it would need a way of extracting hydrogen from water to produce deuterium and tritium for nuclear fusion to use the neutrons to generate heat in the lithium blanket for the water to be passed over to be heated up to turn into steam to blast against a turbine to turn a generator to spin the coil around the magnet to induce the electricity to operate the air cushioning or superconducting electromagnetic repulsion stabilisers. Otherwise they'd take fossil fuels with them or uranium for nuclear fission and they'd eventually run out and then it'd fall out of the sky killing million and leaving the rest to be torn apart by a manic horde of flesh addicted human eating undead zombies! And it wouldn't be big enough for everybody, so only rich people could afford to go on it whilst the rest went to hell. Plus the earlier point I made about them having to have preempted it... See how it is so highly unlikely that that could happen in the invent of a zombie apocalypse...?

Yeah, I'm talking about "Rage" only a little more mutated than that.

Erm, why would we do that? That makes no sense whatsoever. It is MUCH MUCH MUCH more economical to build a city on a the ground. We are not exactly in the golden age either...

ammer, is your primary language not English?

Generaly you want to make sure you get rid of them zombies before they get to you so always carry some sort of gun even if its not accurate, also keep some sort blade or hammer or something you can mele or smash the zombies with. Those sorts of items do NOT need to reload,Evar.
