K, so, this is a general discussion where people share tips about surviving the Zombie Apocalypse. The only requirements here are to remember how far the nearest weapon/grocery store is, or how populated the place you live in is. The larger the spot, the more the zombies. So, you can discuss your basic plan about how to survive, but first, ask yourself some questions, like: 1: What kind of resources do I have? 2: What kind of weapons are available to me now? 2: Where will I go? Tell about what your main weapon would be (it doesn't have to be a gun), or where you'll go, or if you can improvise. My main weapons would have to be a shotgun (easy handling, can take out numerous zombies in one shot) or a rifle, and my melee weapon would be a crowbar or an axe, and secondary would be a kitchen or jack knife.
I would find a store and collect tons of canned food and then fortifiy my house and wait it out. give them a month and they'll all starve. I'll play video games while I wait and see what gear I have in my house. After a month I'd go outside with an axe(it's all i really have) and pick off the straglers. That is why god made video games.
trying to kill all the zombies would be stupid. One little mistake would be fatal. If you slipped or tripped or even if you step to close to a zombie that you thought you killed it would be over. Just let them starve

say there is no electricity, plus who says they'll starve? they may stay hungry but they don't NEED human flesh, they just attack you due to the simplicity of their mindset
Everyone who mentioned everyone else doing this stuff is right. I would board up our house, keep all loved ones in, and wait it out. Emergency trips for food would be needed. We would just check stores, just in case, don't wanna be starving if theres plenty of food there. We have a fair amount of knives in our house so we could be save for a while. Accept survivors if we find some, but lock them up, come on, you can't be too safe.
If the zombies are the really slow stupid ones I would just put a fence around my house and go on with my life. Just walk past them it's not like they'll be moving very fast. The army would probably deal with them in a week anyway
When you think about it, it would probably have to be an infectious disease causing the zombies. People are not that dum. They would defend themselves or at the very least lock there doors and be quit. A couple people would get eaten from being at wrong place at the wrong time but that's it. So hope your immune.
Okay, so first things first. Your zombie plan is the exact same as everyone else's: Hit the gun store, get out of town, build an impenetrable fortress, use melee weapons when you can, and always aim for the head. WRONG! All those will fail. The real first step: Accept that you know nothing about them at all. "Video games" and the wiki don't count. You never know your enemy when it comes to zombies. So, stop pretending like you know everything, because you DON'T.
The real plan
Now, every plan has a flaw, but what you need to know is that some small flaws are better than one big flaw. Here is the most you can get out of a plan:
1) Never engage groups
I don't care if you want to kill them all, NEVER, EVER, attack them when they are in groups. You can't hit them from all sides at once. And plus, one bite and you're a goner.
2) Don't be stupid
Don't try to get a chainsaw or machine gun or anything that you think is just a little bit too heavy. You keep lugging that M60 around, you run out of energy QUICK.
3) Melee weapons
They really don't work that well. You can get tired from swinging a baseball bat quicker than you think. It also leaves you dangerously close to the zombies.
4) Food
Now here's the kicker: Food. You want it. You need it. Problem is, there is none. And don't try to go to the supermarket first when you hear of the apocalypse. Sure, you may find a Twinkie or two, but are you going to find a ****load of canned food? No. Look everywhere, and eat whatever comes your way. Worse comes to worse, you may have to find some uninfected rats to eat, which still is hard.
5) Guns
Let's be honest. Have you had any REAL experience firing a gun? I haven't, and I accept that. So, if you can choose a gun, don't pick one that'll dislocate your shoulder. And here comes the next one: Ammo. You're not going to find any ammo. Maybe a little here and there, but not enough. So, stay away from the zombies. Don't shoot any if they're ignoring you. That'll lead them to you.
