their is a totaly different thread for it but in short israel is an oppressive state it came into being on blood of palestinians. palestinians were driven off their homes by israelis and as long as israel exists or muslims exist world peace can only b dreamt of.
The USA feels threatened indirectly because Iran's potential nuclear arms threatens the moderate Arab allies of the USA and hence it's energy supply.

The British partitioned it equally. Immediately after they withdrew, the Palestinians and the Arab states attacked Israel. Israel merely responded. It was founded on the blood of Israelis too, blood shed because the Arabs decided it was a good idea to destroy anything Jewish.

If you take history, you would find they were not ''freedom campaigners'' but nationalists, two different things. It was a mandate to take care of the territory after WWI, and the UN sanctioned the partition. It was not the British.

In this case it was not a pinch, but a remark. What the Iranians have put forth is a blatant statement calling for the destruction of the States and Israel.

Think of it this way though...Weapons of mass destruction have virtually ended all major nations that have them from going to full scale war with each other. I mean, they may each back another nation and fight via supplies/money, but they themselves aren't actually doing the fighting.

Well the fuss is if someone were to get their hands on them who was not afraid of Mutually Assured Destruction, aka, a Religious Terrorist. I don't think many people believe that the government will just start launching them willy-nilly, however, they are afraid that due to the instability of the government, if it were to collapse or have such nut-balls in it, those nuclear weapons could easily be sold/stolen into the wrong hands and used by terrorists.
