Well a lot of people have been telling me evolution is real. They give me the most craziest surreal 'facts'. Has anyone discovered any fish with legs? Any humans with gills or fins? If you put all the pieces of a watch into you're pocket and shake it around for trillions of years, will it ever become a watch? Is there but one possibility? Or if you completely dismantle a chicken and a fish, and put it into a box, shaking it around for trillions of years. Will it ever become a fish with wings? or a chicken with fins? :l
I've got a question for anyone who doesn't think evolution is real/proven.
What do you think of new strains of bacteria and viruses? Did you know that a different flu shot is released each year because there's constantly new strains of it?

My guess for what they will say: God creates new stuff every year.
My guess to what they will say? very few Christians will claim that, i think thats kind of embarrassing to you to even suggest that. Their are stupid people in the world, faith aside.

Usually the argument I've heard is that micro evolution occurs but macro evolution does not. This while failing to realize what these terms actually mean and that they are actually the same thing just viewed at different scales.
There is so much evidence for evolution and so much less for the bible, Koran, Torah. Occasionally, though, I am baffled by some responses Christians, Jews, and Muslims give because some answers they give are not the typical ones you hear. Being a reasonable and logical person there are some questions in which they ask I have no response to either because there is no answer or there is one that or others just haven't found yet. One preacher has stated that Noah's ark existed and was discovered in Turkey http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news ⦠n-culture/. When he showed me this he had stated this as proof of evolution being wrong. I did not know what to say. He also pointed out that the end of times were now and that microchips would soon be implanted in peoples wrist. He showed me an article for that to based on a non christian source. He claimed it to be the devil's mark. Anyhow, every ounce of me wants to prove this guy wrong and that he's a lunatic but can't find any fellow atheist in my region to help me do so. As there is no options I am left with this forum and community mostly made up of atheist. I just want to hear opinions on this and opinions on having evolution being a fact rather than theory. What do you guys think? Read books that atheists have written, try out Hitchens and Dawkins first.

Noah's ark tends to get "found" every few years. To date every single one of them has either been unconfirmed or demonstrated to be a fraud. Though even if it's shown something like Noah's flood did happen I don't see how that disproves evolution. Evolution is still something we have seen happen numerous times in both nature and the lab setting.

What no numbers tattooed to there heads? basically he's taking this one thing and interpreting it this way. Even though it doesn't really match what the scripture says, but we can ignore that since this is the Bible and can be interpreted to make it say what ever the hell we want. But again it's always being said the end of the world is coming soon. It's like a plot in a comic book where we are always ebbing closer to this terminator style apocalyptic world but never get there. hell there have been three end time predictions that have fail for this year alone (that I'm aware of).

But one fact, we see a change in the frequency of a genetic traits occurring in an animal from one generation to the next. And that in a nut shell is what evolution is.
Storm Wolf is right how can we prove evolution... Answer is WE CAN'T get it through your thick heads. SCIENCE has even proven evolution to only be a theory with a bunch of question we can't answer. Darwin even says in HIS OWN WRITING that his theory had many holes to it. "Where is the evidence of creation?" it is every where look around you go outside and look at ants and animals that the small animals that live in your back yard. Although the insects may be small but they are complex. Go on Google and look up Lamimin and look at it for a while and not just a glance but see the shape of the tiny thing that holds all of our bodies together at this very instant of each and every one of our lives. If everything happens by chance then why do we sit at our computers every day? just for entertainment or just to do it.
