So, uh, yeah, the title pretty much says it. Lots of topics turn into religion debates, so this is meant for that. Mine is Atheist. Feel free to oppose, but I'll oppose your post, too.

...uh, so, what obscure branch of Christianity do you follow? I've never heard this before. So let me ask you a few questions...

Micheal as Adam seems to come from the Latter-day Saint group.
http://lds.org/liahona/1998/02/the-man-adam?lang=eng

I always thought that Jesus was known as the Angel Micheal in some Christian sects. Adam being Micheal is against that idea, unless you believe that Adam is Jesus, or vice versa.

That would be from Jehovah's Witness. They believe there is only one archangel, which is Micheal and that Micheal is Jesus.

Huh, guess growing around all that put more ideas into my head than I realized.

btw adam and eve will have children. these children need to do insest to furter reproduce the population.

does this mean that christianity accepts insest is normal and not a sin?

can't be right, right?

Didn't I just post about Lot (Or Job. One of the ones with three letters that I can't remember) having sex with his daughters? And said person with three letters was a "Just man" according to the bible...

Just another way the religion contradicts itself. If we're to believe that man came from Adam and Eve, as you say, incest would be the order of the day in the next generation and for many generations after that. And how would it account for the many races around the world?

There are scientists who claim we all have common ancestors, which is true, but I don't think they mean we came from just two people. Imagine the gene pool? It'd be shallower than a puddle during the dry season!

Not to mention the second drop in the human populous In Noah's ark where there were only eight people left.

With science we estimate the human population hasn't dropped below 10,000. This is based on the amount of genetic diversity we have.

Didn't Noah's family do the same thing, since the rest of the population was killed in the flood?

Yes, but Noah also spent some time with some of the monkeys and a couple of rhinos, which is why we now have baboons.

ahem, that was a joke right? The way the conversation in this thread is going, I can't truely tell anymore.

They would have had too. According to the Bible, after they got settled, the men all took their wives and scattered to the horizons to repopulate.

No. Why would it be a joke. A baboon is 75% monkey, 20% rhino and 5% human. Scientific fact!

Just couldn't tell. :| I knew that, but I didn't know that the third part was rhino. I thought it was another primate, or smaller land mammal...

No, no, definitely rhino, hence the reason for the red bottom and the tiny tusks.

Why is everyone so concerned what religion people are? I suppose, people feel it defines them or adds something to their character if they believe in god(s) or are agnostic/atheist. I have a religion but I prefer to define myself in more important ways.

Thou shalt keep thy religion to thyself

I agree, but i must say, while playing shell shock live, I've heard people talking badly about Jews, and as a Jew I was naturally very, very offended (I've had to put up with enough of that ****).

PS: sorry for the swear, I've just had enough, I mean I've even heard a moderator say:
...except your undying allegiance to their ever-growing empire! Really, it's only a matter of time before the advertising of clans goes in full swing and every clan leader turns into a recruiting Nazi. And then everyone shares their likes and dislikes while buddy-buddy statuses rise!

I responded to that by the way in the other thread. I would say it again, but I can't remember exactly what I said. In a nutshell, I said don't be so sensitive, no offense.
