Any thoughts/concerns on iran. they sentenced an American to death today and we confirmed they are working on nukes at an underground location. Should we do anything to stop them? or just let them be?

plz. give a sources where they (iran government) says this?

Andthis is what I am talking about...

north korea has nukes and already has nukes and is is doing same thing for years already.

They don't call for the destruction of any country necessarily. All they do is refer to South Korea as the &quotuppet government." They do not call for its destruction.

There's no reason to invade. They pose no direct threat to the USA or its allies. The American people don't want a war and the politicians want to stay in office so they won't declare war. Iran would have to use a nuclear bomb or attempt to use one before Congress would ever declare war. Though, I don't really see the need for Iran to have a nuclear weapon, in the first place.

Just because Iran dont recognize Israel, doesnt they want them destroyed.

Think for yourself, do you honestly believe that Iran will attack with nuke, knowing that it could be the fall of the Iran by doing that. And also knowing that the entire world will hate them.

If Ãsrael consider Iran as a threat. Why dont they invade Iran by themselves, why do they always want to involve US in their own problems.

I have to be honest, I am very fearful of America and Israel starting a war with Iran. I think more people would understand fi the general in public REALLY knew how strong Irans military is. Lets not forget they hacked into our most sophisticated drone and brought it down. They have a lot of the same capabilities we have. Plus, if you add Russia and China into the mix, could be pretty serious. Attacking Iran to me is making WW3 unavoidable.

not sure, never had that problem.

Hate to say it, but israel is currently neck deep in their own problems involving diplomacy with palestine. there is nothing else on their threat list that is as high a priority as getting that problem smoothed down.

they ask the U.S. because we have a history of being trigger happy, and will at least feel some obligation to help our allies if asked.

besides, even if Iran does make a nuke, they don't have the gall, or at least a good reason, to use it.

Did you even read the article I linked?

Okay then. Why did the US help Kuwait when Iraq invaded them? Why did the US help Libya? Just because Israel asks for help doesn't mean that it automatically needs to be granted.

I think more people would understand fi the general in public REALLY knew how strong Irans military is.

Iran has 545,000 active military. The US and Israel combined have 1,653,545 active military, however Israel could easily drum up at least another million due to conscription and reserve duty through age 49. Combined with the technological might of Israel, I feel that any war with Iran would be completely one-sided.

that hacking is only speculation, and just because they have military power, it doesn't make them a threat. many countries have a strong military, and could easily crush Iran for doing such a rash act. china is currently more focused on beefing up their economy, and I'm pretty sure they won't bother unless attacked. Russia is also very powerful, but chances of them actually going into war is actually rather slim (unless it's a civil war).

WW3 is avoidable, we just have not be stupid enough to initiate it.

yes why not send the entire military, to invade Iran and make both countries defenseless...
And on top of that, let use all our money to rebuild Iran's new government...

The US also has National Guard in each state that is independent of military personnel who serve overseas. The US would hardly be left defenseless. Israel, as I mentioned, could easily give a million reserve troops marching orders, and still be able to activate an additional million to defend the country. As for the government, the people have already been screaming for change. It wouldn't be as difficult as Iraq because sectarian violence there is minimal.

There is precedent for pre-emptive strikes. A country obtaining nuclear weapons which could be used to destroy your country would be considered a threat to the survival of said country. This country could then attack the country obtaining the nukes.

Somethings not right I dont trust them there has been tension between Iran and the U.S.
On another note the reason they have sentenced him to death is because they are calling him a CIA operative sent there to destabilize the country, and those charges are fake they are trying to use him as a bargaining chip or something thats what I heard.

That's exactly what would happen if we do.
