I hope you haven't fallen for this age-old trick and actually clicked on the link.
However, if you have, welcome. This is where ideas, plans, and dreams are built.

anarchy means no rules so everyone must live on his/her own to have no rules or at last rules that only fits for themself.

So then, anarchy is possible. It just doesn't happen too often.

i have a new idea for a rpg. i call it "in the middle of the eye".

That actually sounds interesting. Not that I'd ever participate in an RPG, but it sounds like a very creative idea for one and I'd like to hear more about it.

I think it would be interesting to have a world where the currency was intelligence, you would buy and sell things by basicly pawning your ideas so you could get other ideas and food and stuff.
If you had a currency based on inteligence then everyone would have to contribute so there would be no freeriders.

Off topic (kinda) I had an idea for an enviroment where the whole world is powered by body parts, there is no longer cremations or burials since those organs could be harveste and used to power things, there were people called Supreme Gatherers that are in charge of determining when someone should be harvested for their organs and they became abusive with their power and kept turning back the harvesting time from right before death, to 80 and above, to 50 and above, to having everyone take a test when they're 15 to see if they will be harvested or not when they are 20, if they are smart and could contribute in other ways to society than just giving organs then they live. What do you think of it?

It reminded me of the Matrix and the human factory and stuff... But yeah. Your idea sounds like it would make quite an interesting sci-fi movie.

That would be a rather unfair world to live in. The people with a below-average intellect level would be the lower class, all the mentally disabled people would be living in the street, and the evil geniuses would buy enough power to take over the world.

Would make an interesting movie, though. Unless they cast Matt Damon in it. You couldn't pay me to see it then.

The same goes for the body part harvesting idea. I have a feeling that one would be a blockbuster if Di Caprio played the starring role. Hell, I'd even watch it if Matt Damon were in it.

How about we try to think of the most fair world ever? Is a true utopia possible?

It seems like a good metaphor to the laissez faire capitalism of the early 1900s.

survival of the fittest is technically the most fair way. although i am thinking of a sort of fair fair, as if to say, is it fair that someone who is doing fine should have to take care of someone who couldnt. and what happens when someone makes themselves retarded by their own actions? like a drug user? or kid with explosives? it kind of seems like all of my ideas hinge on the world ending in nuclear chaos, well, most of it. i'd like to think that an extremely rural area such as mine would be mostly left alone from a full nuclear assault. however i have been stockpiling guns and ammunition, as well as the means to make many melee weapons of any design, plus random things ( generator, propane, scrap steel, tons of wood, etc.) i just wish that if it happens i'll have time to get everyone that wants to come.

Hmmm, this is interesting. Are we discussing dreams or types of government.
I think I'm wise to let this thread go its own way.

Yeah, but a portal to where?

Yep,yep. I like that.

Let's try something. Ideas for a really, really weird world. Weird beyond wild!

Since I'm a gamer I was thinking of having it as an art/survival horror game, I always found that games are far more immersive than movies and I want the player to experience what it is like to be in such a despreat society that what would normally be considered a morbid and brutal thing become widespread and widley accepted. (I don't know if I added this in the main setting, but the reason why the world became like this was we where so low on resources that there was no where else to go and we saw that we were wasting precious energy by throwing away bodies)
I was thinking of having the main character be one of those people be the ones that fail the test and fight for his life, also I will have it where the player will be controlling him before he takes the test so they could interact as normal and explore life in this kind of society, and then have them experience the real power the Gatherers have because of their contributions to society.

What if the sky was rainbow tie-dye instead of blue? Then the ocean would be too!

And by the way, those rhymes were totally unintentional, but I'm proud of 'em nonetheless.

You'd make more money if you made it into a movie, so you could make one a few years after you release the game to attract both gamers and movie people. The gamers might hate you if the movie strayed too far away from the game, but what are they gonna do?

here you go:

in the middle of the eye

story:

you lived your live, went to school/work, you made every-day-things till you dreamed that dream. it started like a normal dream and then...you saw a big, floating eye, looking straight at you. it fell slowly towards you. you entered it through its pupil. you woke up with a strange feeling. you looked at your clock, not noticing it stopped.instead of doing whatever you do after standing up, you went outside. the streets and the neighboourhood were empty. after knocking on doors and ringing bells you found out that the houses were empty too. you tried to use your phone to call your family and friends but nobody answered, not even the police. something strange is going to on and you have to find out what.

character sheet:

name: (first and last, if you like: surrname and/or nickname)
gender: (male or female
age: (10-40, you can be 5 or 90 too but then you are handicapped by your age)
living: (example: 10-17: by mom and dad, 18 or older: alone in your own house or with your own family but you cant find them)
description/bio: (how you look, what you did before this happened but keep it short)
inventory: (i will change that later)
time: (same as inventory)

sadly i have not the time to host it so feel free to host it. have fun!

note: this is not a survival game or a horror game, something strange happened. i will tell the host what, it is up to you to check it or to have a surprise.

This comment and the fact that we are talking about a weird world reminded me of a whiter shade of pale
Personally, I think an purple world would be fantastic. You know, everything a shade of purple. He,he!

I remember I once made a minecraft texture pack where the clouds were purple. It looked really cool and made good screenshots for when the sun was setting.

True, if i do that then I'll prolly pick a whole new character to avoid the haters.

I think that that would be interesting, but then how would that make sence? Also is the color just a film on top of the water or is it a transparent tye die of purple and green? (would look nice)
