personally for me it was back before MW3 and BF3 and skyrim even though those are all great games i miss back when it was mainly just black ops and MW2. now when i go back to black ops and see how few people are playing it compared to what it used to be like it's just sad because now everyone's playing MW3 which is one of COD's off games, now maybe for me it's that way because that's how everything was when i got Xbox live but in my opinion MW2 has some of the best MP in any game and black ops was still really good and i miss back when everyone seemed to be playing MW2 or black ops. share your feelings(not like "i'm hungry" kind of feelings) and your opinion of the good old days for video games
MW3 is the worst MW of all, you're wrong the story really sucks a lot, it's just killing people in famous cities.
I said COD 3 not MW3 you are just one of those people that think the only COD games are Modern Warfare and Black Ops. But like I said back in the day Call of duty was actually really good and had a good story and no one was rushed to come out with it so it made the game good.
For me,the games i used to play where the old PS2 games like GTA:Vice City or GTA:San Andreas, but i had a Nintendo 64 and an Atari when i was really young.
well you know all video game series have their own glory days now that i think about it some of the glory days for some game series may just be back when they sucked a little less
The glory days were back in the day when almost everything could have a speed run. But it also had its normal way to beat it. But there were glitches and thing you could use to beat games fast and if you knew what they were then everyone thought you were cool and pro at the game
if you could finish the game really fast then you won't enjoy it for very long
Replayability is the key word here. You could have the shortest game in the world, but it wouldn't matter if it's awesome enough to be replayed a thousand times.

Or you could have it difficult enough to warrant so many tries in order to complete it once. Kind of how old Arcade games worked here -- made for you to fail so you'd keep trying.
I wouldn't recommend this though, as it makes the game feel much more monotonous. Some people may score it for retro but this is the element of Games of Old I would NOT like returning.

I think it is I that is disappointed, 'son'.
Because the game was hard when you beat it the first time and then you got so could you could beat it in an hour or two.
I can't really say it was difficulty (even though that's what I referred to it as). You had to go through the level, know it because things would jump at you from random areas with no warning (IWTBTG shows that) and start once again once you die so . . . yeah, quite annoying and I would class it more tedious than difficult. Hence, why I don't want that specific trait to return.

Not entirely what I was talking about and they still have those traits in video games its just you reload instead of restart the game.
No I liked Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World because the were classic games and had great colors. And the first time anyone played them you weren't used to them so they were kind of hard but you got better and you beat the game. And you didn't feel sad that you beat the game because you looked at your score and it said something like 72 and you realized that the game wasn't completely beat, that you somehow missed something and you went back and searched and found cool things. My favorites were the complete color and Sprites change that Mario World had and How Donkey Kong country had its hidden developer names (rare and Nintendo) very cool
honestly im kind sad i missed the boat on cod4. i was a good child, and got my first fps (black ops) when i was 13. i got hooked. then i got mw2 and cod4. i played the campaign for cod4 and played a little of the multiplayer. but then i moved on to mw2 and found the multiplayer much better. now looking back on it, i see how many little things where off in mw2 and how good cod4 actually was, before people could fly and all. it must have been nice to see that game before everyone took a piss on it..... anyways i dont know exactly the "glory days" to which you are referring to.... like pac man and galatica (which are both friking awesome) or more like pong or more like 5 mounths ago when mw3 first came out (my favorite part of the online experiance, since it was really the first time i was in on the release of a new fps. it was fun leveling up with everyone, and no one having more of an advantage than anyone else.), or more so in the mario era. i think i had the fondest memories from the mario era of my video gaming career. so nice and peace full when their were no guns, only evil little turtles and mushrooms and some stupid blond chick who still keeps getting her stupid self trapped in some castle with a giant turtle king.... looking back on it now, that was really dumb. i mean come on, secret service anyone?
