I know U.S.A has a better army and weapons developement in all but Canada has a ready army and a hell of alot more allies than America.

you U.S.A guys are obsessed with power... if USA attacked canada they would lose probably half of there trade markets, probably more!
Oddly enough, my job in the US Army IS to change the minds of other nations. I can't go into detail HOW I do it, but just remember the viet nam war, and how everyone acted in the US. That's basically what I would do to Canada.
during the veitnam war there where huge riots in the US.
many people where killed including police officers. if that happened to canada the trade markets would fall apart; oil, wood, and much more stuff would brake down!

We're not bashing Canada, we're stating the objective fact that Canada would be crushed. and the guy who provided the numbers for military spending, population, technology, etc. is a Canadian. Take off your nationalism glasses, please.
The US would win, because the UN doesn't have a competant army, Most of Canada would just give up, and the US would use Canada's attack as a reason to give the world why they should take them over, just like we did with Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Germany, Japan, and just about every country we own territory in.

1. You cant possibly know which army would win
2. The UN is nothing it has no power
3. You cant know that canada will give up, large dogs are mostly afraid of small dogs to
4. A reason? you know whats the reason they invaded iraq? oil! they made up some stupid lie about nukes, bush even said that himself (the idiot)
5. Almost the whole world was agains Germany its not called a world war for nothing.
6. US.. territory in japan? they just trew the fat man and the little boy on them nothing related to territory

1. You cant possibly predict the outcome, but you can use the facts to point to a likely situation
2. The UN is nothing its power is very limited
3. You don't know that Canada would give up, small dogs know how to run away quickly
4. A reason? Do you know what the reason was for invading Iraq? oil! they used faulty intelligence which Bush trusted himself
5. Most countries were against Nazi Germany during the second world war
6. US.. territory in japan? Although they dropped nukes because of the sheer cost in lives of an invasion, there arn't any regular civilian territories owned by the US in Japan.

This is a good reason for me Canada beat U.S.A the first time in a war so we'll beat you the second time.

As for my opinion, I think that both countries are pretty evenly matched. Aside from the US's ressession, they are very close in terms of power. I see no reason why they would go to war, and even if they did, it would be extremely hard to predict the outcome.
If I had to chose, I'd lean towards the USA. They just have a better trained air force, and overall military. Plus, the USA would have more countries backing them up then Canada would. Aside from getting assistance, I would still think USA would emerge victorious, but it would be a close fight...
*On a final note- I would like to criticize the maker of this thread... You started it off badly, and you talk like the USA would have no chance. By the looks of the first few posts, I would guess that this thread was created for the sole purpose of starting a flame war... Which is pretty stupid in my opinion.*
I agree with thingthinfreak, the US has a better military. Canada just has the better economy.
The USA would have real trouble as they would have to find Canada first.
If it was 1v1 canada would get owned but if it was full scale the US would win because north korea and russia would see the weak spot and make use of it

You could argue that it wasn't 'Canada' as it wasn't independent from GBR and the empire, but the local inhabitants did participate in the war.
It's the reason the White House is 'White'. It was set ablaze, and after repairing the damage it was re-painted white.

Well, the thread is "who would win Canada or U.S.A. in a war" not "who would win Canada + all of their allies or U.S.A. in a war" - or vice versa for that matter.
