The original "This Thread is Currently About" is back! Yes, it's Count to 100!

HOW TO PLAY

1. Count by ones from 1 to 100 in 100 consecutive posts according to the Core Rules.
2. Restart the count from 1 after:
a. a Moderator (or an Administrator) makes a stopping post (post without counting) if users and Knights are counting..
b. a user or Knight or Warden makes a stopping post (post without counting) if Moderators and Administrators are counting.
c. breaking a core rule, spamming, or cheating.
d. reaching 100.
3. Announce why you restart the count so other counters don't get confused.
NOTE: For the time being, Moderators are allowed to help Users count, so as long as the other rules are observed you do not need to restart the count if you see a mod count. However, if a Moderator makes a stopping post, i.e. a post without counting (not the same as a non-count post since they're technically different teams), it is considered an interruption and the count will restart.

CORE RULES

No mistakes. A count must start from 1 and increase by ones up to 100, save for exceptions noted.
No double-counting. No counter may count two consecutive numbers.
No back-to-back counting. No two counters may alternate for more than three consecutive numbers.
Okay: P1 P2 P1 P3
Not Okay: P1 P2 P1 P2
Okay: P1 P2 reset P1 P2
No editing. No counter may edit their post. If an edit tag shows on a count, the attempt is forfeit.

ADDiTiONAL RULES

No "spamming". Please don't post only the number and please don't post gibberish, either.
Multiple one- or two-word counts may also disqualify a count.
No "cheating". This shouldn't need to be said. Counting to 100 doesn't count if you cheat.
This is an exercise in teamwork, not rule bending.
No "spoiling". Don't mess with the count. Posts should start with the correct number.
Posts with no numbers should be ignored. See also: No non-counts.
Posts with intentional mistakes should be ignored.
No "spilping". If this is your first post in this thread, please post "I'm new and here to count to 100!"
No non-counts. No counter may post without a counting number or make a post without bolding that number if that counting number is not at the start of the post.

COMPLETE SET OF RULES
Please refer to the complete set of rules for additional information and examples of what is valid or invalid.
DiSCUSSiON THREAD
Please also check out the discussion thread for new gameplay or rule proposals or general discussion on the gameplay and rules of "Count to 100".

END GAME

Once you reach 100, you start this Sisyphean task all over again back at 1. Users should notify the Commissioner of the Count (HahiHa) that the count reached 100 and the Commissioner will review it to make sure there were no mistakes or cheating. If there were no mistakes or cheating, then the users who took part in the successful count to 100 will get a shiny new Quest!

14. It sure is, er, was, well, it's still going. We'll see how Nevada goes, but for now, Biden seems to have the lead. I'm glad. It means everyone'll stop talking about Trump, and I'm happy about that.

I was looking through the Steam store, and I've noticed things. Baldur's gate! 3! Desperados! 3! What is happening? I still remember getting the first desperados' demo out of a magazine. I hope this means there'll be some more second sequels of "old" games! Maybe even Fallout... five... Bah.
Santa Claus in trouble again again!

If I dare to hope, I may even say... HALF LIFE 3! PORTAL 3! You know, just about every Valve game, but 3!

1. Sorry, mate. That's a B2B. Where is everyone?

In other news, I just started playing Morrowind. I'm hoping to have fun, but I got killed by a rat. A RAT! I swear, it's like he had a forcefield that somehow made my every swing miss.
Collecting Mushrooms and Flowers is pleasant for now on, but probably won't be the whole game. There is no hand-holding here.

Also, they probably don't get punished for war crimes unless they actually commited them. If there were, you bet the other party would jump on it like a flock of vultures.

4. No worries. Watch out next time, though.

In other news, I played morrowind for some 8 hours. I have 500 gold, am still level 1, discovered a new menu item 5 hours into the game and finally learned how win against skeletons, ghosts and rats. Killing humans still a problem, though... Also, I can't find any good weapons. They're either OP and cost 2k gold or are pathetically weak and cost 8 gold. I'm confused, but it's weirdly fun trying to figure it out bit by bit.

Because politicians end up being above the law, so they never get punished for anything at all =/

8. Hey, there's nothing wrong with playing old games, sometimes you may just wanna feel nostalgic or something.
Well, I reckon some classic games are worth being played, even nowadays

9. Whenever I want to play/watch a sequel or spin-off to something, I have to play everything from first to last. No exceptions. Even if the first seasons were 70 years ago. Even if they were terrible or completely different. Did the same thing earlier this year with Endgame. I haven't watched a single Marvel movie up until then.

Also, lots of classic games are still good. Like. er. Serious Sam 1, Far Cry 1, the Super Mario games, I guess, Baldur's gate. Most of the old RPG and Point and Click style games (say Curse of Monkey Island)

10. I feel you sciller, it just feels wrong to hop in midway. Exept when it comes to the "egregiously long sagas of dubious chonology" or stuff like that.

11. Have u guys ever had the feeling u have grown out of videogames, and what did you do after that.

12. I can't believe I didn't say it before, but How-do-ye-do, abcdragon! And... see you in a while, abcdragon!

Yeah, that's the point. I watched the first season of the office, which was relatively terrible. I rewatched all of the seventy-year-old Tom and Jerry cartoons so I could watch some of the newer, fifty-year-old ones.
Yet, when I see a movie on the telly on Sundays, I sit down, and I watch it from the half-way point to the end. Do I know what's happening? Nope, but it's on the television, so all of my other principles go in the trash.

I was about to say: "I never have, and I doubt I ever will grow out of videogames" but now that I think about it, I have, and I probably will. I used to play singleplayer Minecraft for hours. Now I only play if there's someone to talk to, a project to help create, or if there are pranks to be made. I also sort of forgot how to socialize in real-time, so that enjoyment doesn't happen that often.
There are also games I enjoyed before and don't now. I tried getting back into them, but I always failed. I don't think there is a way to consciously choose to enjoy something. I reckon that's the job of the unconscious part of your brain.

But may I recommend starting to play games on higher difficulties? I found out that most of the time, you use mechanics that you've never used before. It forces you to be more versatile and clever, and generally, it leads to playing the game the way it was meant to be played (thus, more fun). Try it next time and see how you like it.
