The original "This Thread is Currently About" is back! Yes, it's Count to 100!

HOW TO PLAY

1. Count by ones from 1 to 100 in 100 consecutive posts according to the Core Rules.
2. Restart the count from 1 after:
a. a Moderator (or an Administrator) makes a stopping post (post without counting) if users and Knights are counting..
b. a user or Knight or Warden makes a stopping post (post without counting) if Moderators and Administrators are counting.
c. breaking a core rule, spamming, or cheating.
d. reaching 100.
3. Announce why you restart the count so other counters don't get confused.
NOTE: For the time being, Moderators are allowed to help Users count, so as long as the other rules are observed you do not need to restart the count if you see a mod count. However, if a Moderator makes a stopping post, i.e. a post without counting (not the same as a non-count post since they're technically different teams), it is considered an interruption and the count will restart.

CORE RULES

No mistakes. A count must start from 1 and increase by ones up to 100, save for exceptions noted.
No double-counting. No counter may count two consecutive numbers.
No back-to-back counting. No two counters may alternate for more than three consecutive numbers.
Okay: P1 P2 P1 P3
Not Okay: P1 P2 P1 P2
Okay: P1 P2 reset P1 P2
No editing. No counter may edit their post. If an edit tag shows on a count, the attempt is forfeit.

ADDiTiONAL RULES

No "spamming". Please don't post only the number and please don't post gibberish, either.
Multiple one- or two-word counts may also disqualify a count.
No "cheating". This shouldn't need to be said. Counting to 100 doesn't count if you cheat.
This is an exercise in teamwork, not rule bending.
No "spoiling". Don't mess with the count. Posts should start with the correct number.
Posts with no numbers should be ignored. See also: No non-counts.
Posts with intentional mistakes should be ignored.
No "spilping". If this is your first post in this thread, please post "I'm new and here to count to 100!"
No non-counts. No counter may post without a counting number or make a post without bolding that number if that counting number is not at the start of the post.

COMPLETE SET OF RULES
Please refer to the complete set of rules for additional information and examples of what is valid or invalid.
DiSCUSSiON THREAD
Please also check out the discussion thread for new gameplay or rule proposals or general discussion on the gameplay and rules of "Count to 100".

END GAME

Once you reach 100, you start this Sisyphean task all over again back at 1. Users should notify the Commissioner of the Count (HahiHa) that the count reached 100 and the Commissioner will review it to make sure there were no mistakes or cheating. If there were no mistakes or cheating, then the users who took part in the successful count to 100 will get a shiny new Quest!

13. John became the CEO of Armor Games! In 2021. He released Elephant Rave 2, then went on to do... CEO things. I just looked it up while writing and... he isn't anymore. I assume he's making more [Ele]phant games. I hope he re-releases his plushie because I now have a disposable income. and I thirst for trunks.

If you'd like to talk to Moegreche, he's on the official AG Discord. There's a link on the featured topics tab. Or I guess you could just @ him. That might work. Maybe.

I do wish I knew anyone from then. Alas. B2B warning.

14. Strop if you should come across nemo(nonamec68) please send him my way, I’ve tried reaching him on steam, Xbox, any avenue I thought I might. That guy was literally my best friend for a long while, spent years talking with him over AIM (AOL instant messenger) he gave me advice on anything and everything growing up. I honestly think I ended up working in kitchens because he did, I even grew my hair down below my butt as a home-age to him, not that he would have ever known…Zophia actually responded to my message the other day, she seems to still have notifications to her email.

Love the recent uptick in here, even if it is just one specific thread being visited.

15. I don't feel worthy talking here while y'all are present. I also don't have anything to contribute, but I want to bring the count up.

16. Well since you asked Strop, here's the juicy deets.
I think I started to disappear around 2013/2014, around the time I reconnected with a childhood friend (didn't really have proper friends so this was a big deal) who really helped get me into PC gaming (although it was @gamer_cale who really helped me pick out parts and whatnot, wouldn't be anywhere I am in life today without his help) and played Civ V with him and some of his other friends on a pretty regular basis, driving me to not feel as compelled to spend time on AG, though I wish I'd still stayed active.
2015-2018 I got my first job working fast food and made tons of close friends, several of which I'm still close with, as well as my now wife.
2018-2019 I started community college for Game Programming while working that same job, something I probably wouldn't have done if someone on AG didn't have a link to CodeCademy. Then by several near-miraculous consecutive strokes of luck, got a job in programming (sort of, but that's an entire story itself) before I even finished my Associate's degree.
2020. Moved out of my small hometown into the big city where my job was. Naturally, about a week or two after I moved out, my company went fully remote in anticipation of COVID. Got engaged and planned a short engagement, which was made even shorter to about a month, with COVID happening and the full extent of the lockdowns being unknown.
2020-present. I've almost moved out of state multiple times, but life didn't work out that way. Since 2020 my wife and I have been in the same apartment and I've had the same job. Had several promotions and doubled my pay since then, got a Basset Hound. Life is generally uneventful, minus about 3 months last year where about 3 years worth of life events happened all at once, but otherwise things are quiet and on a steady, upward trend. Hoping to buy a house in a couple years. To this day I never did finish my degree. I'm exactly 1 class short of my degree and honestly I'm not sure the stars will ever align for me to finish up that one class.

Sciller, I hadn't heard that John left before! That's more than a little sad, though I don't doubt for one moment he had perfectly valid reasons for that. I wasn't able to find who took his place. LinkdIn and Twitter seem to indicate it might be Daniel McNeely again, but that could just be from him not updating when he left.

It seems like nostalgia has hit quite a few people all at once around these parts. I've got several comments over the last year or so from old friends on here that I hadn't heard from in probably 10 years. Not to mention you and Skater kid coming here too.

Don't stress it Jim, you're just in the process of making your own memories to reminisce about when you're old and crotchety like us.

17. You said everybody so I'll give my life biography in brief:
1996-Conceived; hopefully clinched not going to hell
1997-Born with a broken lung and almost died. Youch! Also, baptized on the feast day of Sts. Peter (my namesake) and Paul (my later to become confirmation Saint).
1999-First computer game; I don't remember it very well, but it was something with Reader Rabbit and a broken carousel you were trying to fix or something like that.
2003-First computer game that I remember thoroughly enjoying: Lego Island Extreme Stunts
"You have to give the developers some credit for trying, Island Xtreme Stunts will give kids the feeling that they've been dropped into a living, breathing, videogame."
"With that on the table, it's hard to imagine a younger child not being intrigued from the moment they fire it up."
2010-St.Paul's conversion confession year. I bonked my head and got some pudding packs. My life was starting to change very rapidly all at once.
2012-Miraculously survive three suicide attempts eerily like St. Peter; clinch Venerable hopefully.
2016-Learn the hard way that law enforcement isn't for the faint of heart or unprepared after becoming interested (yes, the cataclysmic event that got Donald Trump going happened right near me as if my life wasn't already cataclysmic enough at this point); clinch Blessed hopefully
2020-Clinch non-purgatory hopefully through praying to the Sacred Heart after having (by my standards at least) a sexual meltdown; find out about this site from the Kingdom Rush games on Miniclip and play several games on it before officially creating my account.
2023-Find my first job after obtaining two college degrees and a year of fruitless searching. Also, expect to lose Steam and then find out it works anyway. Death is all a lie.
"I asked him, "When it sank in that this might really be the real end,
How's it hit you, when you get that kind of news?"
Man what'd you do?"
And he said,

"I went sky divin',
I went rocky mountain climbin',
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named Fumanchu.
And I loved deeper,
And I spoke sweeter,
And I gave forgiveness I'd been denying."

And he said, "Someday I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dying."
1 Corinthians 15:55
Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”

18. yep I said everybody and I sure meant everybody!
Death is now my profession (I literally specialise in it, twice over, as I do both geriatrics, and palliative medicine). Everybody has to find their own truth about it.
@skater_kid_who_pwns, I'll message you how to get back in touch with Nemo. He's just informed me he's forgotten his username and password to most of his old accounts which might explain why you can't reach him LOL

I might even boot up my ole repository thread just to update it a little or something. For old times sake.

19. Everyone? Augh. I have written out a life story so many times at this point that the thought of doing so again makes me feel sick.

So, nutshell mode - in no particular order. Clasically-trained pianist, 9(.5 :$) years. A Romantic - Nature, nation, sin, myth, sublime. Yokel from Croatia. Passing interest in most sciences, natural and social. Currently studying "computer engineering". Always wanted to make my own games which I've been playing since I physically could.

Too scatterbrained to finish anything. Accidentally rebelled against my peers instead of my parents. Discovered I had a sense of humour at the age of 13. Obsession with death and eternity. Wished for "good health" on my 19th birthday. (Aubrey de Grey, please.) I take much enjoyment in pretending to be a wild animal on the internet, and have done so for about 15 years now.

Optimistic about technology and humanity, pessimistic about myself, my country, and the aesthetic and social decay of the past 80-or-so years.

I swear my head is *far* less up my rectum than it seems. If it were, I wouldn't've been prescribed Luvox.

20. The constant hum of the hoods, the *brrh click clatter clunk* of the never ending tickets pouring in from the masses of people who somehow in a world full of choice, chose to come and eat at your place of employment. It's Friday night and the bar is packed three deep and wait times are 90 minutes plus, that doesn't stop them from cramming another body into the place. "Hey Chef, how long have you been here today?", "Depends on what today even is" you hear your self mumble into a cup that's at least 50% coffee and the rest you got from the bartender for a burger you had one of the cooks make for them. The lights above the equipment have been burned out for months, and your carbon monoxide detector doesn't go off as long as the box fan behind the oven stays running. One time you got some mad about part of the floor sticking up, you made a pentagram with hand sanitizer and lit it on fire so it burnt into the floor, prompting the floor to be replaced. Sadly, the investigation uncovered no witness or culprit, only a staff that was so thankful the tripping hazard was finally gone. Then next thing you know it's 8am and work started an hour ago, and this isn't your bed. You end up losing your license for 2 years for a DUI, in your own driveway.....so naturally if you can't drive anymore you can drink all the time! And then well, you wake up on day and realize its been almost ten years and you need to make a change, so you pack up your clothes, throw away everything else and move half way across the country and completely change careers in the hopes of finding something....and ending up finding a nice happy life. And man, when you aren't angry and tired and living with everything that came with a destructive life style...well you don't know what you even want to be doing, or are good at anymore.

And then you end up writing a summary of the time that's transpired in your life since your last visit, and don't like talking about your self enough you write it all with "you"'s instead of "I"'s....there's so many things you could talk about, a lot of them hilarious and probably not welcome here, and the rest sad enough to make you not want to bring them up.

But yeah, that's about it.

22. You can try shooting him a message on his profile.

I don't know any more than this. He held an armatar contest and he never gave us the results. Held the contest in early 2018, then apologized for slacking and promised he'd rate it... then never did. I'm looking at his comments now...

He had a little chat with Nichodemus in 2020. Said AG let him go. Then said a bit more which makes it seem he wasn't quite in the best mental state. Or maybe he just lost interest in AG. According to a post on Polytopia's wikia, it seems he had a LOT of homework to do xD

Also, @TheMostManlyMan You have ferrets? Give ferrets! NAO!
