Well, I think the topic you are trying to suggest is teens in their early age. There is nothing wrong with an eighteen or nineteen year old woman choosing to have a child. I was having sex at age 15, I didn't get anyone pregnant. Teenage sex isn't bad (it's great, even) and shouldn't be stopped. We just need more informed teenagers. Not that being informed will stop young teens getting pregnant, but I hope it will lower the number of them.
I meant early teens.Like 13-17.Im sorry i didnt include that in the first post.Also,I dont mind if you have at that age,but i just think that other people should be careful,cause i knew someone in the 7th grade who was gonna be a dad.
thepyro222, it is impossible to tell that. People all the time say that you are going to be together forever, that doesn't mean a thing. No matter how careful you are, anything is possible. Kids are not going to stop having sex, it's a fact. Condoms don't always work, it's a fact. The birth control pills don't always word, it's a fact. Even tubal ligation does not always work. Oh well, too bad. I guess we will just have to teach kids to masturbate more.
I agree a bit with WeeMan. I think awareness is everything! I can't preach that enough.
Sex Ed in public schools is horrible. They push for abstinence when it isn't going to happen. They should push for safety and information. All these kids need is an available, friendly place to receive STD testing, condoms, birth control, etc. And we need to stop making sex so bad. Turn it into something that isn't a BIG BAD deal and you won't have as many people rebel and do it. It will be a choice they make because they have the right information about it.
Teen sex and premarital sex is crossing the line of ethics for me I may be fourteen but i know that that is the worst thing you can do for your life so do not do it
I may be liberal, but I don't see how it crosses a line of ethics if two consenting people at age XX have sex. We are all going to do it, some young, some old. There is nothing wrong with sex. It is the lack of awareness that leads to bad consequences that is pretty horrible.
I don't get why we live in a world that is afraid of sex. The problem is that so many people think that they will automatically get an STD or pregnant if they have sex. Sex Ed classes should show precautions and protection to use.
Tehblackknight, I think that having sex with my long-term girlfriend was the best thing for our relationship. When you commence the act of sex you have an established connection with that person. After we had been having sex for a while our relationship was so perfect that we lived very happily and had a stronger bond. It's not a bad thing, it does not ruin any lives. It's also a fun thing to do. We can not ignore that fact. When two consenting people are open to things, you can really expand your mind.

Having it is not bad, it's the precautions taken. (or in this situation, precautions ignored.) I mean condoms, birth control, etc. aren't 100% it is still pretty high protection.

I beleive the problem today is that sex is too strongly encouraged. Sex is fun, but it should also be held sacred. I don't beleive its wrong to have sex with more than one person, but I beleive its wrong when sex is used only for fun.
The media is pushing sex into people's lives. Instead of kids growing up and experimenting with sex at their own pace, they feel like its "uncool" to not have sex. People have sex because it is something they can brag about because for some reason people are insulted when they are called a virgin. I am not saying that teen sex is wrong in general, but it is when teens are having sex because they want to lose their virginity instead of loving each other, or because they simply want to have fun despite how they may not love each other.
I talked to someone about their friend. His friend was always having girl problems because he is a god forsaken moron. I laughed and chuckled "well its good he can't get a girl, he would only use them as a tool for pleasure anyways." and the person I was talking to said something that just proved how sex and love are ruined by today's society.
I was told that at a young age, you should focus on having fun because no relationship is going to work out. Take it easy and have fun... its people like the person I was talking to that make it hard for people to find the right person at a young age! It is this mentallity that is influenced heavily from the media.

Young people have a god complex. I can't get pregnant or I couldn't get AIDS. You don't lose this until about 25 or so. To them it's a fun game with no repercussions. Which is why we have so many knocked up little girls on welfare with the little boys booking it as fast as possible. Which is another reason there a massive amount of teen girls, massive meaning in the millions, who are an extremely high risk for cervical cancer because they couldn't take something serious, seriously.
It's all a just wonderful fun little activity until you're a 15 year with a baby. Nobody automatically gets pregnant or gets an STD. It's when you do that you suddenly grow up and get the point. Any teen mom will tell you that in retrospect that she wished she had waited. I think some people are pretty lucky that they don't have kids named "busted condom" or "missed pill". Or that their girlfriends weren't cheating on them and gave them HPV. Because I know that all teens know that the HPV virus goes through condoms. And your teen boyfriend or girlfriend would never cheat just because they say they wouldn't.
The reason I feel so strongly is a few years ago a friend of mine and I were waiting for the doctor in a pregnancy care center. We were both in our 20's but next to us was a girl with a baby who proudly proclaimed that she was 14. She wasn't the loser, well she was, but the baby was the biggest loser of all because it had a parent who lacked the simple skills of living. Every teen thinks they would have the skills to raise a child but they simply don't. Most adults don't even have those skills never mind a 16 year old. The other alternatives are an abortion, something a girl will live with for the rest of her life or adoption with the same results. It's a great game until you lose. And when you lose, you lose pretty big. Loss of freedom, loss of money, maybe even loss of life.
