In all of my life, I have found that out of all religions, most people who aren't Christian dislike Christianity more out of all the other religions. My question is: why?
www.zeitgeistmovie.com explains the origins of Christianity. I urge any intelligent person with any sort of interest in this subject to at least watch part 1. The introduction is slightly violent and younger children should probably not watch.
Look, dissing a religion is not a good thing. People believe different things. Also, as for the supposed 'ruckus' that comes from Christians on some subjects, and how you think that these things should be a personal preference and not because of ones beliefs. Well, if this thing goes directly against someones belief, anyone with a solid faith in that religion will obviously be against it. also, im kinda bugged by the fact that religion is being discussed on a games website, especially when most of it is tearing down religion.
also, it depends on the christian religion itself. not all christian religions are the types that go door-to-door or think that your going to hell if you dont join their religion. there are some who are not like that. once again, this is getting into the thing i hate most in this world, steriotyping...
and dude, half of you people hardly even know what christianity is. why dont u look it up before you start tearing it down and claiming false accusations. dude, if you read up on actual christian beliefs and maybe took the time to understand, you might actually realize that most of the stuff said here is false! ugh, this is the last time i go on these chat boards...
That's a good point, Cheesy. Can Christianity really say something about an individual? Can belonging to any group do that beyond just definitional assumptions?
well when you say, Christianity, you are talking about tons of different religions. The religions, while sharing a belief in Christ, are for the most part different. i can understand people who are bugged by the religions who go around saying that everybody who doesnt join them is evil. in fact, it bugs me too. but there are christian religions out there that do not believe that. and once again, not every individual christian will come up to you and tell you that you need to join their religion. there are tons of denominations out there.
also, i am a christian, but i also believe that the best way to draw someone away from your religion is by telling them theyre evil if they dont join u. in my opinion, u can believe what you believe, ill believe what i believe. i am not here to sell you my religion.
Christianitys a very biased religion. Aside from all of its problems historically and how their own governemnt act, along wtih all of its splits...
I've noticed that thankx to racism to religions, they've been labeled as bad. Also, to make matters worse some of them, I don't know how many, but I've noticed many Christians have put it in their minds deciding on who deserves to go to hell [I.E., homosexuals] even though that is Gods right and by no means religiously or historically was or is even ALLOWED to do such. As Gods power is his and his alone, along with hids judgment. Therefor, by saying this, it makes them only worse. To go on, Many Christians as you probably know don't pray, don't attend church, or plain don't know one prayer. Some not even the bible [Church can be contradicted, but not the other stuff]. Therefor, its said that they are also hippocrits for saying what they are, beleiving what they do yet not showing it. Then god is just not a diety, its just a beleif.
Dunno, alot of people make it look bad, speccially in America.
augh you steriotypical people!!!!! armed_blade, you are steriotyping! not every christian is like that, nor is every religion! what you are doing is lightly observing some christians and making your own fact! 'many christians do this, many christians do that' can u prove that many christians do that? or is it just that this is what you think of them? look, dude, dont make up the facts until u have concrete evidence. look, dude, you cant evaluate christianity like that!
also to quote you, "To go on, Many Christians as you probably know don't pray, don't attend church, or plain don't know one prayer. Some not even the bible [Church can be contradicted, but not the other stuff]." Ok, does that even make them christian??? and how do u know this? its not like some guy came up to u and said, hey, im part of this large christian club that doesnt go to church, doesnt pray, and i dont even know one prayer!" even if one person came up to u and said that, (which i doubt), that doesnt make them the majority of christians unless u were reffering to someone named Many Christians.
