He had such a little chance of getting into office, their was so much press coverage over the Obama/Clinton battle that everyone ignored him. Now the first real thing they hear about him is that he's taking a nobody as a running mate.
From the article: "Ms. Palin, a former mayor of the small town of Wasilla, an Anchorage suburb...first rose to prominence as a whistle-blower uncovering ethical misconduct in state government."
"But Ms. Palin ran as a change agent when she was elected as governor of Alaska in 2006, and in a move that might have appealed to Mr. McCain, she took intense criticism from members of her own party for turning the spotlight on the failures of Alaska Republicans, some of whom had been beset by corruption scandals.
She was elected Alaskaâs chief executive after fighting off a comeback bid by a former Democratic governor. Her victory came after she had helped uncover misconduct in the administration of Gov. Frank Murkowski, whom she later trounced in a Republican primary."
What are you all talking about? McCain has solidified victory. She's a young, working mother, and a moderate conservative. She is going to pull many Hilary voters over to McCain.
She has some controversy in her past as well, about firing someone or something, I didn't read the article too closely I'm starving and distracted by my hunger pains.
Yeah, he's trying to pull the women voters over, but most are smart enough not to fall for that. They aren't going to vote for a women just because she's a women.
I'm sad, I'm going to be two weeks too young to vote in the next election.
i agree even articles im reading say macain chooses a nobody from alaska. hes doing it to get the hillary clinton votes and maybe hell get some of them. but hes going to lose a lot of votes. hes pretty much handed the victory to barrack obama which is good for me since im voting for him

Actually Ms. Palin is very socially conservative so I don't think he will lose many Republican votes. Although, for the same reason he won't be picking up too many Hilary votes.
