Story here.

Do you think this was a smart choice?

Will he be able to pick up Hilary supporters?

Will McCain lose/gain some ground on his argument that Obama lacks experience?

Or do you not care because the vice-president doesn't actually do anything?

That's basically the definition of a conservative state...

In general, a conservative state allows economic freedom but less social freedom; a liberal state allows more social freedom but less economic freedom; an authoritarian state has little of either; a libertarian state, has the most of both; and an anarchist state has unrestrained freedom (depending on the type of anarchy).

@necromancer:
"I thought we were living on a socio-anarchal commune."
"You're fooling yourself. We're living in a dictatorship!"
Relevant Monty Python quote. Lol.

But seriously? I think this is a good choice. McCain picked someone who would be a strong leader in his absence. That being said, I'd rather vote for Governor Palin than Senator McCain :|

Well, after McCain wins, I think Governor Palin will be the first female president.

If, McCain wins, which he might not, having a female vice-president could make some very conservative voters stay home.

Those would be the people who frequent menarebetterthanwomen.com
Incidentally, I thought that was some dude being an EPIC troll on Dr. Phil, but it turns out he was doing srs bizness, which makes it unfunny.

Well, any sane person wouldn't stay home just because of the gender of the Vice Presidential candidate...

The only ones who would stay home just teleported from the 2nd century...

As I said before, the people who would stay home for that reason make up about 0.00000004% of the country...

Then Alaska is a libertarian state. She is an Evangelical christen which is fine, as long as church and state remain separate. As for his campaign, I don't think she will really help or harm his campaign. All and all, She's not bad, but I sure hope McCain doesn't get that heart attack.

McCain picked the chick to get the feminist voters that originally went for Clinton, you know this, right?

Yea women are too stupid to actually make a decision about who they want as president. We just follow whoever has a vagina.

I was not being sexist, it is simply logic.
McCain Picked her mainly because there are feminist voters out there who, after Hillary Clinton had to step down, they couldn't follow anyone, and they were not going to vote. I know because I live right next to a woman like this. She also has some good policies, but the flaw is that the Vice really doesn't do anything.

A theory based on one person who obviously doesn't know much about the political process if she bases her votes on genitalia. People with any sense don't vote on race or gender. Feminists are not usually stupid enough to vote for a woman just because she is a woman if her politics are ridiculous. Most feminists (the ones with any sense of course) will not be voting for McCain because of his anti-choice vice president.

How many people in America do you think vote based off of the candidate's platform, and not how they look, or how they talk, or what his/her religion is?

Lincoln was behind in the polls because rumors were being spread that he was unbelievably ugly, and then an actual picture of him was sent around, and he pulled ahead.

anti-choice vice president.

Yeah, at first I didn't think that would matter much, but I find her stance on abortion extremely disturbing.
