I saw yet another video of a group of protestors burning the American flag. The disgust me! Please tell me someone else out here agrees that it is wrong and should be illegal.

You're too caught up in delusions to realize it but America is far from perfect - and it certainly isn't the only superpower left. China and India are controlling more and more of the world economy - without them we'd collapse.
Nope - I think we could cope. America is really quite big and we'd lose a sizeable chunk of the world economy but it's contribution to production and distribution of goods throughout the world isn't essential.
I think the problem without America would be that countries like Russia and China that want empires would begin to build them without an enforcer like America. The UN is too weak to stop them. Empires eventually lead to war as WW1 demonstrated.
Aaaand... STOP. That outcome is unlikely - Also, if it happened you seem to forget that the rest of the world would probably have something to say about Russia or China forming an empire.
Also, with the amount of emphasis you put on the flag I'd say you seem to be very wrapped up in the Flag and it's symbolism - if you're religious then I'd accuse you of worshipping it - Idolatry.
Don't forget that it was because of one of the US presidents that the world took such a large kick in the teeth a while back - perhaps you only see what you want to see?
A world without America wouldn't be so bad. The Russians pretty much won WWI and WWII... America just jumped in on the side that was winning half way threw the war and contributed a little.
The biggest loss would be to the economy, as said. But if another country/countries took the land for themselves, the economy would be easily repaired.
And as I think I said already, if you are going to disallow flag burning you are going against the western values that you are stating you are for, namely freedom of speech. It is a rather useless practice, to be sure, but its there.

Technicly russia got out of WWI before the end of it due to massive losses to germans but I guess thats winning. As to WWII yeah they were winners with quite a bit of american aid that helped them. Lend Lease act anyone? I dont think that the world would collapse without america though.

Do you know how the Russians got those massive losses? By keeping the allies *** out of the fire. With out the Russians, the German would have plowed threw all of the Allie's defenses and defeated them. America's only large feet of WWII was dropping the nuke on Japan, making them surrender. They had a few troops, but did little compared to everyone else.
Yes clearly they would have marched right over the allies and right into london and paris as easy as pie. Really do you know how many americans were fighting in europe? Or the numbers that fought against Japan? Or the volume of industry the US gave the allies?
nother hardcore argument in here. my thoughts: flag burning inside america = not cool, not even a little, should be treason. flag burning outside of america = um, who cares, i throw away the little french flag that ihop puts in my crepes, am i a dick for this??
