Being half Greek i am not too fond of Turkey. My Grandfather was forced out of there and his brother was killed by the Turks back in the 30s. Since then one of my cousins died in the last war against them. So no i am not their biggest fan. I hope to God they dont get into the EU.

Turkey was once the Ottoman Empire which ruled practically all of Europe and was the last Empire.

Being an Armenian, not too fond of turkey either.

No offense, but it's not our responsibility to know about every country in the world. I know quite a bit, but don't be mad that most people know nothing about your country.

Ok my dad was out of istanbul. It is very interesting there because there is a ton of foods but... there are a lot of stray animals there and a lot of beggers. There also sights like the deserty part of it and the fresh fruit of Turkey I wish I could go back....

Ermm... orgy... (..ok..?)

Last time I checked, Turkey was still a communist country. Is it, or is it now a democracy? I've been shut out in my house for a long time, with no foreign news in months XD

Still a communist country? Turkey never was a communist country in the first place; in fact, they joined NATO during the Cold War against the Soviets. Furthermore, they did not join the Axis powers during WWII; they joined the Allies towards the end in a sort of ceremonial thing (a lot of little countries did this).

No turkey is a democracy and has been for some time. They are also one of the few secular islamic states in the world which i guess is a plus, showing all the BNP members that not all muslims are terrorists. That is probably their bigest plus.

What the **** is wrong with you Americans?

Affirmative action, political correctness, and the pandering of our bureaucrats to the whims of every minority in our country has drastically lowered the standards of education, resulting in the ignorance you see displayed here. As a result of our "no child left behind" educational system, all children are held back to a much lower standard of 'assing' the primary educational system...
