Firstly, I didn't mock you. Secondly, I would not feel like an idiot. Thirdly, I find it funny from looking at your youtube channel, that you posted the link for in your about, that there is a picture and you state that you are 14 years old. Kind of difficult to be an international diplomat when you aren't even out of high school.
I said a link not a position.
You obviously know nothing of politics or diplomacy.
I'm not going to argue about politics with an American, your country is still doing stupid things today so you have no place to criticise any other.
Actually he said "I have direct relations to the E.U." This implies he is in direct contact or has direct control over information passed to and from members of the E.U. council. Since 14 year olds are not able to effect policy I say this is BS.

I criticize no one. I simply state the facts of the situation. In this case the facts of the situation differ from the opinions presented by sosolidclaws. I have not once criticized or allowed personal opinion or emotion to enter into this debate.
And as for my country, it's a moot point. Every country makes poor policy decisions. That does not negate the validity of an argument based on factual evidence. And in this instance we have several facts.
1. When Turkey invaded Cyprus it was (and still is) considered an independent and sovereign nation. The only nation in the world that even recognizes the Turkish state in Northern Cyprus is Turkey. Every other nation claims that Southern Cyprus has de facto rights to all territory on the island of Cyprus.
2. The occupation of Cyprus by Turkish military forces is in direct violation of the Geneva Convention and multiple U.N. resolutions. Their continued occupation remains in violation of these and further compounds the issue.
3. In order for Turkey to enter the E.U. all current members of the E.U. must vote in favor. This means that if even one nation votes against then the application is rejected.
4. Cyprus is a current member of the E.U. and has been for nearly 7 years now.
Therefore it is safe to deduce that until the issue is resolved the likelihood of Turkey being granted entry is nil, and even if it is resolved it does not bode well for Turkey's application. And the issue with Cyprus is only one of many issues raised by current member nations as to their reservations about Turkey's entry.
Okay, let's say we give back Northern Cyprus (It isn't that important to us we're only keeping it because of some property we own there which we could sell to the cypriots I guess) then what other issue do you see in us entering the E.U. ?
And stop assuming that I work for the E.U., I'm just sayin I have a good link with them but I can't tell you it's dangerous for me.
By the way I totally agree that we should give Cyprus back but it didn't hit me as so big of an issue for the E.U. itself. Now that you've stated that rule of Unanimity in the vote I think it's only fair.
You are trying to tell me that you have a "good link" with the E.U. but you don't even know their admissions policy?? Are you serious??? Do you really think I was born yesterday??? Wow... just... wow...
Look bud, you are obviously full of it. I have responded to your thread, I have posted the facts on the situation. I have nothing more to say to you. At this point you are sounding more and more like a pathological liar and a troll than someone worth having a serious discussion with.
Oh, and by the way, there is no position you could hold or connection to the E.U. that would in any way be dangerous for you to reveal, so I know you are full of crap. Just knock it off.
To give you a bit of the reason I know, I come from a very distinguished military family and I have members of my family that actually are involved in US foreign relations, and one member that is responsible for security for the US State Department.
Ya know, now that I look at it, it seems that you created this thread just so you could flame people who didn't know anything about your country. Shame on you, boy >

The sad thing is that he doesn't know very much about it either. About 2 hours worth of research and I am more informed on the history and current politics of his country than he is, and he's lived there all his life.

I still can't believe they deny the Armenian Genocide.
Yeah I didn't even get to covering that in talking with mr. sosharpclaws. It is a huge point of contention among many of the EU member nations, as well as here in the US, regarding policy decisions with Turkey. From my research the past day it seems as though there are gross civil rights violations left and right in the recent past of Turkey. It's interesting that this thread came about too, because my ex-wife may be getting stationed at Incirilik Air Base in Turkey this fall so I was about to do some research on the country soon anyway.
Only one acronym comes to mind in situations like this...
PEBCAK
Like I said, assuming it's not me. See, that's how mah bro sarcasm and I roll.
I still can't believe they deny the Armenian Genocide.
WHOA WHOA WHOA, hold up, does most of the country and it's people believe that? Or is it just a group of idiots? Gotta check yourself on that one, I for one have no idea.

To give you a bit of reason, my father has a Doctorat in European relations and is currently working within constituting links with the E.U. and Turkey. I think he would know more than your ignorant U.S. specialists. Since the U.S. don't give about other's politics.
