Yeah I didn't even get to covering that in talking with mr. sosharpclaws. It is a huge point of contention among many of the EU member nations, as well as here in the US, regarding policy decisions with Turkey. From my research the past day it seems as though there are gross civil rights violations left and right in the recent past of Turkey. It's interesting that this thread came about too, because my ex-wife may be getting stationed at Incirilik Air Base in Turkey this fall so I was about to do some research on the country soon anyway.

There is only one reason we are not admitting it. Armenia still has not given access to their archives to anyone. Therefore the proof needed cannot be found. I would like to know for sure too but they simply deny every request to make this better. It's almost as if they want to feel bad everyday on their own will.

Anyways Walker are you finished with looking at the negative aspects of my country? It's really not what the maker of this thread intended to do and looking back at the posts I can see that you basically started the whole argument based on my reply to a cypriot which wasn't even offensive just a bit subjective I must admit. Can we start just talking about good stuff now cause this is a gaming site not a website for making fun of other countries by spotting their past errors.

Turkey is a great country to live in or to go to for holidays, people really respect you there and service is always friendly and willing to help. The News only show the military issues of this country and that is why some people think it is 'a communist desert country' when in fact it is a rapidly growing economical power and holds a republic title since 1923. This country of peace and hard-working people has been growing this way through nearly a whole century. Sure they made some mistakes in the past that might influence their chances of entry into such unions like the E.U. But that does not nul down every chance we have and as long as we breath as one nation we will try harder and harder everyday to solve the dwelling problems that linger in the minds of people. It is never too late to apologize in politics and we will strive to do so when the time is right. Now please remove yourself from this thread because I want to continue talking about positive things from this post on. I know we had a long and subjective argument from both sides but now I wish this to stop.

PS: I live in Brussels, Capital of the European Union, I know what I'm talking about when you think I may not Peace.

It was. but now israilis that have come there by the milions now have to fly around it.

NEGOTIATIONS OF FULL MEMBERSHIP WITH THE E.U. SINCE 2005

Israel has been negotiating since 2001 for peace and no improvement. Today negotiating means nothing pratctical about 70% of the times.

THE FOUNDING FATHER OF OUR REPUBLIC, MUSTAFA KEMAL (ATATRK)

There are founding fathers in most of the countries. It means nothing good about the country.

The News only show the military issues of this country

As it does for every non-european/american country. Especially the middle east.

This country of peace and hard-working people has been growing this way through nearly a whole century.

Luckily for you, you have peace. Turkey was founded less than a century ago. Show data about the hard-working part (under Stalin the USSR also had hard-working people).

LEVENT DISTRICT OF ISTANBUL (WHERE I OWN A HOUSE)

Turkey has cities?!?! I thought they still lived in caves!!!! (sarcasim)

You wanna take it to the racist level? Let's start making Jewish jokes shall we? Gtfo off this thread.

Turkey was founded less than a century ago.

The Republic of Turkey was, but our lands have been occupied by our people since 1453.

Weehee!!! !You have teutonic plates! You have earthquakes

And you have a war with your neighbors, what are you trying to prove here?

Let's start.\\\\

We can start as soon as you stop making immature comments on my display of images, trying to make the captions become an argument. I say Peace and you understand 'Let's Argue Again' this brings me doubt to the innocence of your people in your conflict. Seriously, Peace.

Well I'm not gonna let my thoughts be disrupted by a jealous jew. I am still striving to make this thread a place where people can observe the beauty of Turkey and put aside it's defaults, as we should for all countries in a non-political environment.

And by the way, MR WALKER, let's keep the talk peaceful please. You wouldn't like it if I made such comment on a thread about America I presume, or maybe it wouldn't bother you because most of your people aren't patriotic.

As sosolid said, Peace.

It was made by the turkish band Manga and it placed 2nd in the Eurovision 2010 (Europe Song Contest)

Umm... Sosharpclaws? I wasn't talking about you :/. Calm down. Naturally, I was talking about the guy who created this thread.

One thing I'd love to do one day is actually get out of America and go visit another country, America is starting to bore me a little. One of the countries I thought of was Turkey, now that I think about it.

Yeah, I keep seeing that Traveling Europe with Rick Steeves thing on my local public television station. He shows all the cool places in Europe you can go to that are lesser known. That guy's voice can make you do anything >_<.
