In these troubling times we see in the news that more and more people are losing their jobs. Hence, we see a rise in criminal activity. Lol. I think it's wrong to steal from other's no matter what. But if you cannot survive otherwise, then by all means do it. If you are oppressed by the rest of the world, the system is flawed, or you are unable to get the food you need for whatever reason, then go ahead and steal what you need, as long as it's not from a person that is worse off than you.
Stealing for survival would be a risky thing to do, but no I don't think it would be a bad thing, but now people can apply for Food Stamps and other citizen helping plans. In a way there is no real reason to steal unless it is for an absolute reason. We may not think it's bad, but try telling that to the cop that's arresting the person for stealing.
wow k most of u are missing the point.. Ya finding a job is easy.... But you think they pay u alot of money working at tims? or working at mc donalds??? Well to kids sure like 20 000 a year is alot of money, but you dont pay taxes, dont pay bills, and probably most of the stuff given to you is paid for by your parents... That 20 000 bucks is used however u wanna spend it, therefore it is a hella lot. But homeless people can't pay for housing with that 20000. It costs like maybe $1000 bucks a month now not including heating, cable, and accessories... So thats 12000 gone from ur wallet. Then u get groceries, and heating, and water, and electric bills... Therefore those probably cost about at least 8000 a year.. well now look at your money.. Your pretty much in debt just paying for housing and needed accessories... U cant live off a crappy job, in fact most of those homeless guys we see on the streets do have jobs, they just cant afford housing. I think stealing for survival is ok. I mean if ur a good guy, and u want to live, u will take wat u can to survive... So a cpl fruits, cpl snack bars, and maybe a cpl turkeys/chickens from safeway rlly isn't gonna do anything to those higher up in that store, cuz they maybe took like 0.000000000000000000000000000001% of the stores profit... And its not like in todays day and age that u can steal... its pretty dam hard to get into someones house that doesn't have an alarm.
The victum of the stealer might think it's bad, but the stealer who's trying to feed himself (or family), is doing it for his/there own survival. But if it was something big, like jewlery, money or priceless things, that's considered illegel and it's highly more obvious that the stealer's taking it from greed, and will be put in jail.
