Actually, they have been sticking mainly to military compounds. If they have to bomb houses, the news said they were calling up the people inside giving them a warning.
well, today 3rd january israel dended many planes with flyers where it stood that citizens of gaza should escape out of the country if they wish not to die.... sad news ;(

Just because you think it looks bad@ss and kl to send in troops doesnt in any way justify it. You should watch Waltz with Bashir. That would show you that war isn't fun and games.
Well, in WW2 the "good guys" ( the USA, Britan, USSR, France, and friends slaughtered hundreds of thousands if not millions of civilians in the conflict for the sake of stopping the Nazi war machine. Now we're scolding Israel for doing the same.
However, I think it's doing this out of spite towards the Palestine attacks. trwo wrong don't make a right. but to them it's imparitave so "boys will be boys" as one U.S president said.

I must agree with Woody. War isn't a Rambo film, from what I have heard by talking with old world war II veterans it's a terrible part of human nature that no body wants but everyone thinks they want.
* however the latest Rambo film did sort of acknowledge that but that isn't the point.

Its all about context. The aim of the war, to defeat Nazism (and the Japanese) was justified. Plus its not like the Germans (or Japanese for that matter) didnt throw the first stone. They bombed civilian populations long before the allies.
The reasons for this conflict are that they both belive it is their land. It is a completely different issue to WW2.
