Well, if I remember, Hamas and Israel had a cease-fire in effect that Hamas broke by firing rockets out of Gaza.
Yes, that's true of the present. But this wouldn't have started if Israel hadn't just marched in and tried to take control of Gaza in the 40's and 50's.

Also, if I remember correctly, Gaza and the West Bank were originally given to Israel by the UN after WWII. The Israeli government gave the Palestinians this territory as a good will gesture.

No not really, Israel gave it back because it was Palestinian land which was agreed on in negotions between the two countries since WW2. I personally am not that pro Palestinian but it amazes me how many people on here are. Its not that surprising really. Most yanks hate the arabs.

I don't hate Arabs, I hate terrorist groups that always cry foul every time they have to face the repercussions of their actions.

thats rite. i thought no one would say this. the US have done more and more things outrageous and 100% more wrong than these people in palistine. just remember the amount of bomings in south america and the Philippines. they killed more than these groups have ever done. Or how about taking the native american land and pushing them all over the country and killing 250 innocent civilians in wounded knee? Throughout the US history, the government has done unhuman things that do not occur to the people because it does not effect us too much. And just think about the corruption in Iraq, which i wont get into, but that has been a huge mess and is another country that has been colonized like south america: honduras, bolivia, puerto rico, cuba, and in asia Philippians. history repeats itself. so finally, if people had just came out of no where and killed your family and everybody just so they can have their own land, you wont fight back for your home? i dont agree with their bombings, but its the US and Isreal fault to take their home away and killing all those innocent people.
Today, 3 UN Schools destroyed and many innocent people killed, even they were marked, just because "Hamas send them missiles from one of them". Yeah, sure. Keep on killing innocent people...

The only reason the schools and hospitals are being targeted is because Hamas is hiding hiding their rockets in those places. Hamas is asking for civilian casualties in this way.
Also, yesterday, a Hamas rocket destroyed an empty(thank god) Kindergarten. I don't think Israel hides military supplies in those kinds of facilities...

The fact is Hamas dont particularly care about the ordinary Palestinians, but they do not represent the majority of Palestinian opinion most of whom are suffering greatly from this crisis. Do you think the civilians welcomed them at all? Is that a justification for Israel to carry on and airstrike them anyway?
Hamas' rockets are indiscriminatory, the Israelis however use precision weaponry and so should take more responsibility for where their bombs drop.

read mine plz! they had taken their land and where else would they do but try to fight back, and again i dont support the groups but they have a right to fight not on innocents tho. and they hide their so wat? u will kill thousands of ppl just to kill a few of these others! why bomb? do something else or GET OUT OF THAT COUNTRY!!!!!! its not theirs!!!!!! they are killing many people just for them rite and maybe their not inside there. and isreal does not hide that stuff in those facilities cuz they are richer! where would the palistinians hide the wepons to fight back. its a whole corruption and must be solved.
