Is it just another way to make fun of somewone? Is it a mental ailment of deep depression? Is it just a state of mind or a phase? If nowone has made this topic why hasn't somewone done so already? Do you think you are emo? Do others call you emo? Do you think being "emo" can be stopped? Other people have called me emo before mainly because I like dark colors and kinda draw very creepy things. It is not like I draw murder or a baby dieing or something but I draw distorted and creepy creatures. Some people just come to the conclusion that they are mean and should be ignored. others come to a conclusion that, "maybe I am emo?". Thus turning into one. I have semi-low self-esteem that is recovering normally. some emo's are suicidal, and they think that they can get out of life by doing so. I do not think this, for there truly is something out there for anywone. Suicide may be the quickest way out of life, but absolutely positively NOT they best. I am AGAIN I SAY IT aithiest so I think that we do not go to a heaven OR hell, but I think we are either gone forever or are just a mass of human concesnence. So to me a life is the most dear thing to be in the entire world EVER.
I really don't like how people can just look at a group of people and stereotype them in a couple words without even knowing a thing about them. I'm not one to talk about people without knowing them.
I am friends with many kids that people call "Emo" None of them cut themselfs, they do tend to wear black but they don't hate life. It's just how they are.
Most people you would call Emo are actually just Gothic.
I'm the furtheset thing from emo, just because I hang out with a group of so called "emos" that doesn't make me one so you really can't look at someone based on their appearence and friends and judge who they are.
It's sad though that all the world can do is that. No one gets to know anyone before they judge them which leads to conflicts and wars.
If we could all just get to know each other without stereotyping everyone without getting to know them first then the world would be a better place.
Thats just me though, I can't control what others say or do I just try to encourage people to get to know each other before they decide to hate each other.

ok this is just terrible. these are HUMAN BEINGS! ok, first off, Majstorija, what the heck is wrong with you?! when u say this mean crap you are talking about a large group of people that are full of tons of people YOU DONT KNOW! you are talking about actual people all around the world who are getting insulted by someone who has never met them! maybe if u took the time to actually meet some emos or other people before u misjudge them youd realize how terrible it is! that is why steriotypes are all a load of crap! we are separating people into groups and being cruel to them just because they act different! i mean, think about it! these are actual people, with actual lives, and your saying, "well everybody who fits into the emo category should die" i mean, come on! what if u fit into a category because of your tastes and one day someone decides that they hate u for being that way and send u death wishes?! steriotyping is looking at a person, categorizing them, and discriminating them! u dont have the right unless in a split second every emo in the world suddenly lunged at u with a knife! there is such a thing as a nice emo, loser! i mean, geez, not every emo is exactly the same!
One day a man comes out of the closet to his best friend, his friend then run away because he is a homophobe.So the man duth go to somebody else and tells them. Then they punch the man in the face and spit on him, for the world is not very kind to gays. The man repeats this process until finally he is depressed. Then over time he starts eating and hears about a wonderfull thing, wearing girl clothes! But not just any girl clothes, they must be black. So the man puts them on. The next day the man finds out he has a strong will to write poetry. At first nobody likes his poetry so he therefore gets even more depressed and starts cutting his wrists. he decides he likes the feeling of cutting his wrists and so now he does it frequently. The next day he finds out he has crappy skills at playing the guitar! He then finds out he has even crappier skills at singing so it sounds girlish. He then fins some more people like him to form I guess what you could call a band. So he can recruit more gays to become like him. Thus the making of an emo.
Emos are just really depressed people, they dont really cut themselves unless there the abused/ignored kind but then again in that case they dont always cut themselves either, two emos on my bus have scratcehs all over their arms because they do pin fight wars, they have gotten susspended amount of times, to much to count.
well emo basically means they are depressed which can lead to suicide or the cutting of ones wrists. however if its your style eg black hair fringe in front of eyes shop at shops like bluebanana. skinny jeans. tight tops. and drawing is a well known emo-ish thing to do i also draw creepy creatures and to get alled emo but its just what i wear and draw. as i am a very happy person. i dont let it bother me as the people calling you emo are so low to actually label people as emo, chav, goth, gangsta.

They're just people who have had bad things happen to them. Or maybe they just like it better that way, either way they are just the same as anyone else.
well emo is tooken to far with people like if you where black clothing then you are emo no i like black clothing and I'm not emo like at my school my friend LANDON call me emo when i tell him that emos don't cut themselves and he thinks they do. Like my sister new this kid at school that everyone called emo and he got really depressed and he went gay and he came out to his parents and his parents kicked him out of the house and then he hanged himself so we don't need to call people emo at all cause it doesn't exist
