Since I have joined Armorgams . . .I see a lot of Atheists and their threads about why people believe in God etc . . . I wanted to start a thread about the bible and christianity.
The purpose of this thread is to debate a different book of the bible each week. We will discuss lessons, morals, and different stories.
We will have friendly debates. Please . . . if you are atheist or of other beliefs . . . you may discuss in this thread, just PLEASE no fighting, flaming, spamming, trolling . . . etc
This week we will begin from the beginning . . . .Genesis
Samy it talks about the sons of God coming down and breeding with the daughters of men which would be Angels breeding with women not giants breeding with women. More proof of this is found in their deeds of old where many legends come from. Like Snazzy said, read Genesis 6.

Oh wrong verse, but still angles don't breed, their genderless and completely separate creatures from mankind, the verse simply means the human population grew.
Look at it and read it and then go to Job and read the first chapter. Who are the sons of God? In the Old Testament I think it is undeniable that they are Angels. Also Michael, Lucifer, and Gabriel are all portraid at males. They were created in the image of God themselves and are just a little above us. They are males and possibly females too. But the evidence that Angels have gender is undeniable if you read through the Bible.
So do Christians. And I know you'll say that's not true - why? Because you're Christian.
As for you 'Thisisnotanalt' this is untrue, we are wierd and seem very strange to others and I know it. It must seem quite odd that people can believe that a god would send his son to attone for something that he made. Or that we can believe in something that we cannot see. We are strange and I know this, and most of us know this. And this is because we are in the world, but not of the world.

Sorry about a double post but just to back up my question. Genesis Chapter 6 verses 1 through 4 in the NKJV reads
Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And the Lord said, âMy Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.â There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
Here God speaks and says that His spirit, or the spiritual realm and the physical realm have mixxed. Is that not what it says? The daughters of MEN are mortals, humans. The sons of GOD are immortals, fallen angels who instead of staying in the spiritual realm they passed into our realm and mixxed with us. The book of Jude also refers to this! Read Jude chapter 3 verse 6.

That's only one translation in fact the NIV supports what I've been saying, as does the ESV my personal favorite and most trusted translations. Also while I haven't studied much on this I'm pretty sure God was just pissed, he was like hey my spirts with you and you guys just screwed it up FLOOD.
Anyway if you want to continue this debate I'm up for it but we could also start a new topic up to you.
The point is all of it points to angles, men wouldn't be refered to as the sons of God when women are refered to as the daughters of men. We can start a new topic thats fine. But look in Job and tell me that it is talking about humans when it says the sons of God.
Leviticus is a perfect example of how lunatic funhouse dips** crazy the Bible can get. The only good things in it is a small section that tells you what's incest and what isn't. The rest of it is. . crazy. Also, if you sin you have to make an animal sacrifice in Jerusalem. And if you eat any of the 'unclean parts' of an animal, you have to be exiled. AND, it tells you you can't eat shellfish or cream sauce - it's where the Kosher laws come from, I'm petty sure.
Also. . .the craziest part is that you're supposed to follow its laws. In Matthew, it states that you should also follow the Old Testament, and all of it - including Leviticus. So, you guys'd better all stop eating shrimp and start traveling to Jerusalem everyday with a herd of bulls if you want to do what the Bible says. Frankly, Leviticus is a perfect example of how anachronistic the Bible can be - I'd say some of it is deserving of a rewrite.
Can you just let Christians alone anyway alt, you are getting boring by wanting to change peoples opinions.
