Lol yes. I'd like to see what everyone would choose though, if they were actually in the situation. It's easy to make a decision in the safety of your own home, but when you're actually out there doing it I think it would be a lot harder.
I would do everything I can to get him/her out of it.
It would really depend on how much evidence there is. If there's not DNA or physical evidence present then I would fight for him. If I actual saw him sink the knife into Joe, then that would be a different story.
I think that the death penalty should be changed so that if someone if found guilty they are thrown into a pit of rabid dogs with no chance at an appeal. Guarantee that crime rates will plummet.

Exactly! That or the criminals would start operating smoother operations, setting up innocent people, and if caught would fight it out to the death taking at least a couple cops with them.

Against. I like the re-education style of the Chinese prisons. Now don't go nuts on me for that, maybe you should educate yourself first. Read "Prisoners of Liberation," it is a book about 2 english teachers in China during the revolution. How they ended up spying for the American government and subsequently ended up in one of these prisons.
And we re-educate murderers, terrorists, rapists, and release them back to society? Sometimes it doesn't work that way solely...
And okay, take it the person potentially getting the injection/noose/chair is a complete stranger. Not a friend, not a family member, a stranger. Discuss.
Call me a pessimist, but really a vast majority of criminals in jail return to jail. I think that if gone to jail at least three times on the same charge, you should die. Think of it like this: Joe want to jail for selling heroin. He does his time, and realizes that he made some good money and all he had to do is just be more careful. He gets caught again does his time again. Now whats going to happen next? He's going to jail AGAIN. By this time people we realize that Joe isn't going to change and isn't helping society. We should we pay for him when we know he isn't going to change. I just throwing this out for discussion.
