I'm for it because I think if a person kills a family then they don't deserve to live and shouldn't be taking up room for other, less dangerous criminals in prisons.
Lets put it this way...a person murders another person. So then he is sentenced to the death penalty and is killed. How does that make a sensible punishment? You killed the murderer, using his crime as a punishment. Rotting in a jail cell for the rest of his life and thinking about his actions seems like the optimal plan. I don't see why so many people can't see that; killing is wrong no matter who pulls the trigger.

if you kill you're pretty much going to be killed. out of revenge or legally. also do you really want to pay for him to think when you can feed starving people?
I think Terrorists, and serial killers should be killed, we shouldn't waste money on life sentences, either, as, we spend the money to catch those guys.... and they have committed unspeakable crimes.

Or they'll somehow use those materials to escape. If I was stuck in the cell I'd rather somehow get out and end up getting shot than just kill myself. At least in the first option you have a small chance of escape.

Don't know...but there would have to be a way. Maybe they could weaken the pole over time, throw the rope over the pole, then hang from it. That might snap it off if they spent enough time weakening it.

Well, we would have to feed them, else so-called 'human rights activists' go berserk. So fork and spoon I guess. And plate. But there is a way around that. Take a count of what you put in and what you take out. If they don't give back, then beat them until they do.
