Before you comment, please, read everything, I'm sure that after you read, your life will be changed.

In the following sentences I will explain how stupid is to not believe in God, and I'm gonna use logical thinking and science.

Either "Everything came from nothing", like the "big bang" , witch is impossible, because nothing can only make nothing, or "Something always existed and made everything" like God.

God made this world, by this world I mean time, space and matter, so if God made this world, He lives outside of time, space and matter which means He's eternal, omnipresent and all-powerful.

For those of you who say that the big bang made the universe, I have this sentence: Nothing is the cause of it's own existence.
This doesn't apply to God, because if He doesn't lives in time, He didn't had a beginning, He always existed.
If the universe always was then, we could not reach this moment in time, if something is trapped in time, that means it had a beginning.

Every change that happens everywhere in the universe it's more closer to destruction.
Second law of thermodynamics:
The energy available after a chemical reaction is less than that at the beginning of a reaction; energy conversions are not 100% efficient.
The disorder in the universe always increases.
With each change in form, some energy is degraded to a less useful form and given off into the surroundings, usually as low-quality heat.
The Second Law of Thermodynamics is commonly known as the Law of Increased Entropy. While quantity remains the same, the quality of matter/energy deteriorates gradually over time. How so? Usable energy is inevitably used for productivity, growth and repair. In the process, usable energy is converted into unusable energy. Thus, usable energy is irretrievably lost in the form of unusable energy.

If God didn't made life, then how did non-life, became life?
As I said, nothing is the cause of it's own existence, life comes from life, your parents were alive when they made you.

Did you knew that a 2x2 inch capacity full with someone's DNA can sustain 6000000000 times more information then a 140 GB hard drive?
I guess you didn't knew, did evolution made your DNA?
God made your DNA, of course!

What about the monkeys?
If we evolved from them, why they stayed as they are? they took a long coffee break, I guess.

What about the fossils?
The scientists say that it takes millions and billions and zilions of years for living tissue to become a fossil, well here's 2 pictures with a cawboy's leg fossilized, enjoy

After all I have showed you, now I'm gonna say that you should accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, because He died for our sins and He didn't ask something from us, just to love our brothers and sisters and to believe in Him.
Anyone can ask for forgiveness as long as he or she is not dead, no matter what they did God can forgive them, if they repent from theirs sins and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
God is mercyful and just, His justice is not denyed by His mercy and this is the reason why God sent His Son Jesus to pay the price for us.

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

"confirmed to such a degree that it would be perverse to withhold provisional consent."

Honestly... I have no idea what that means.

So I'll say something I've said before - I can't disprove religion, but no one can prove it either. The big bang has much more going for it in terms of evidence and proof, it is only logical that we go towards that assumption without certainty where we are not "forced" to have our morals bent, our will compromised through indoctrination and our weakness of influence consequently effected.

The Scientific path goes for the TRUTH - not what it means on a philosophical level.

Is that a bad thing? No, it allows freedom, and chances are there are exceptions.

I'm off for tonight. See you all!

rite but it is not accepted because it is not scientific fact hence the quotation marks i put over scientific fact when talking about her "scientific facts".... if that makes sense. lol

you, sorry I couldn't think how to explain it.

religion isn't scientific fact because one religion can't even prove their beliefs to other religions.

Religion isn't scientific fact because it isn't a branch of science nor uses scientific theorems; religion uses faith of the hearts and minds of the people.

it's not upon us to give rpoof why we do not believe in god.
it's the claim of christians that god is real. so it is upon them to proof he is real.

To accept for the time being.

Oh, well in that case, yes :P Until a more valid point is made that is mutually exclusive it's logical to assume the best supported one.

it's not upon us to give rpoof why we do not believe in god.

Shall we go wait on the porche? :P

Random Fact of the Day: Charles Darwin was a Christian.

That's right. Interesting that evolution, the theory that is put up as the standard counter to Christianity, was a Christian.

Charles Darwin believed that his theory of evolution did not cross the Christian belief at all.

(Kinda off topic, but... this is a thread about God, right?)

It's not a counter to Christianity itself but specific claims made by the religion when it comes to creation.

I think I posted in something akin to this but I'm not going to waste type searching through 80 pages and 3 years worth of posts constantly typing Ctrl+F to find my name. I've tried that with only days worth of pages and it's still annoying.

Anyway, my questioning began in high school. Around the Freshman/Sophomore time. I claimed I believed in God but I never thought about it, and around the time my life came crashing down I began to question it. I had a good, Christian friend around this time (He even visited recently, we keep in touch) but he gave me the standard stock of answers that I've begun to personally debunk.
For example, he gave me that horrible "Can you prove air exists? You can't see it, but can feel it!"... Which I quickly replied with "Yes. Yes I can." Via tools and technology, it can be "seen". Can't say the same for God.

I discovered the term "Agnostic" while taking one of those silly online quizzes. It was a dumb 10-question thing, hardly enough to wager one's true belief, but it did introduce me to the term which was accurate at the time. I began using the term for myself, as I truly wasn't sure if God existed.
Over time I've mended the two terms, "Agnostic Atheist", which is possible mind you (I asked Atheistforums.com, if that's still a site). I still believe God's existence cannot be proven or dis-proven, but in that, I also just don't believe at all.

I'm a "I'll believe when I see it" kind of woman but I honestly don't think seeing God will make me start worshipping him. I've become a cynic, mostly a result of my life (and internet, I will admit. People are cruel here)... So if God is &quotunishing" me because I stopped believing or going to church, I still won't do those things. Because then, I'd be a hostage to "His" will.

No.

Random Fact of the Day: Charles Darwin was a Christian.

............. so?
He observed, noticed, and discovered the mechanisms behind his observations. If god really exists, and if he created this whole world, then everything Darwin did was observe god's creation and find out how it works. You could say he found out how god made our world work, which only confirms that if god existed, he would have created evolutionary processes. Thus, even christians should accept evolution as true since it is a creation of god, just as anything else.

i don't believe in god because:
-People that commit horrible things run and commit more crimes.
-children are abandoned, beaten, abused, and so on... no justice or peace for them.
-people that are truelly good in all aspects die in tragic events leaving their famillies broken.
-many people re-wrotte the bible countless times to better control masses they preached to.
-for a long time religion opposed education.(mostly christianity, islam started it only recently with the apearence of more extreme branches.)
-from my perspetive religion is way of controling masses and saying to the poor and opressed "hang on when you'll die everything will be better." because in history this is how things worked, and now too, insted of relaxing after a long week at work people go and leasten to dishonest man they believein true goodness, they want happyness, peace...., but that's not how you get it.
