Not at the moment, there are "reports" of it, but most are just rumors by Obama haters to create mass ignorance over little things. So don't worry, it would have to go by Congress and many other legislative offices to pass. So don't fret, Obama will be out in 2012 anyways.
I don't think it matters how long the school day is at this point, it's the education your receiving with this time. Though whatever, I'm a Junior, so I suppose it wouldn't really matter to me. If the time increases, it's just because they're trying to combat the lowering scores of all the students who don't really care about learning, which no matter what, people always think's it's the teacher, the school curriculum, and/or the amount of time they spend in the class, not that they just don't care, I think.
We were talking about this in my soical studies class. I think as soon as the extra time in the school day would effect sports people wouldn't stand for it. I think all he could get away with is a couple extra days on the end of the year.
and yet somehow all the kids in the other countries are way smarter then we are do you know how many taxi drivers i've met who have their doctorates in another country i think we should be following them a bi more closly
China has school on Saturday, i went there in first grade. I think this isnt a good idea, just make more school days, not longer school days, do the math, we'll be behind a desk longer than a longer day/
