Think about it, what is religion? The belief in something that cannot be proven, that has many, many things that as of yet we have found impossible, and in many people, it is unshakeable. Now I am not saying that all religious people are going to go kill someone or end up in an assylum, but think, in every religion, the basis is something that cannot be know, but is only faith. Faith in something that could turn out to be wrong, faith in something that you have absolutely no way of knowing. Also, think how many of these religions started, some person got a message from a "god" that told them what to do. Don't go crazy on me, I just want people to think about it.

Who says I believe in anything? I don't fully believe in the big bang theory, until it has more proof or some more likely theory comes up I chose not to really believe in any theory.

and how often does science actually give you answers, it gives way more questions than answers.

Every time you find an answer, you find even more questions. This isn't a bad thing. In fact, this helps us delve even more deeper into creation, allowing us to fix and design things we never thought possible.

now on the christianty thing. if God does fix everythin people like you and everyone else in the world, he must not be exsist. why don't you get off your lazy *** and go fix yourself. God must not exsist cuz he doesn't clean up our mess and doesn't fix nature, forget about the fact that we ****ed up nature. ignorance...

So your saying getting on your knees and praying for something to happen is a waste of time? I can agree with that.

and how often does science actually give you answers, it gives way more questions than answers. this whole agruement about how religon is just an imaginary friend is really getting old. can you please get something new to say, besides "religon is dumb, its just a big imaginary friend"

Well prove to me God isn't imaginary and I will stop calling him imaginary.

How many time has science given us answers?

Answered why the sky appears to be blue.
Why grass and many other plants are green.
It's come up with numerous cures it previously fatal illnesses.
How such huge numbers of billions of people can stay in communication with each other for example the very medium we are both using to debate on right now.
Science has gone into your house, your bed, the tv you watch, the books you bur..read, It answered how all these things are made so readily available or even at all.
It answered how to store food longer so we can eat.
It's answered and continues to answer what's beyond our little ball of dirt and water.
It's answered and continues to answer what's below the surface of the water.
How to handle waste from billions of people.

Need I go on?

rafterman, are you one of those people that need subsequent evidence to believe something?

All I need to believe in something is solid evidence.

@Mage: Remember, though, that God created the Universe (that includes science.) Therefore, if God is science than how can God disprove Himself?

No.

I may consider it idiotic, but it is not insanity.

Although I do believe it is likely masking a lot of mental illness in our world.

Let's look at Schizophrenia, it features hallucintations and delusions.

A hallucination is perception of visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or gustatory experiences without an external stimulus and with a compelling sense of their reality.

Ex. Talking with god

A delusion is a false belief strongly held in spite of invalidating evidence.

Ex. Believing the Earth is only 6000 years old

I'm not saying all followers of religion are insane. Just that some of them very well may be, especially on he more extreme ends of the religious spectrum.

First you have to prove God exists. Then you have to prove he was the one to create the universe. Finally even if we were just for the sake of argument to say the first two things are true, this doesn't mean God is science nor would it really matter for the line of reasoning since we would have already established weather God existed or not.

So your whole argument is completely invalid.

First off there is no way I could list everything science has answered.
Second, I've already mentioned the current theory on that dimwit.
