Ãmon Ãmarth and Nightwish(Love Nightwish with passion) are the best metal bands I've heard. I HATE American metal groups though. They're so freaking bland and just, ughhhh.
I love the band Whitechapel, a Brutal Deathcore band. I also really like All Shall Perish, not sure about there genre but I know there metal.
And tbh, SlipKnoT is now pretty much a Hard Rock band because there music isn't as heavy as it used to be, I mean they even put a slow song on there new album.
American groups are awesome, listen to Testament, Exodus, Agent Steel, EvilDead, Dark Angel, Death, and Possessed, they are definitely not bland.
Did a quick YouTube search, some of them aren't that bad. I probably meant all of the mainstream American bands i.e. Metallica, Distrbed and others.
I mean you don't even hear harmonizing or any other musical melody with all the mainstream crap. All their music is is just the same senseless rhythm over and over.
