my favorite metal band is a progressive metal band named dream theater. greatest drummer of all time, amazing vocalist, one of the greatest guitarists and bassists. whats not to like??

(no need to freak out dude i didnt ask in the first post for you to try and correct everyone to YOUR deffinition of death metal, now i understand that people do that kinda stuff and call the stupidists bands metal i know (i had someone come up to me and tell me there favorite metal band *WAS SERIOUSLY* nickelback.....
but really dude come on there is no reason to come in a try and troll youre way on about what YOU define as metal. i probably listen to every artist you do so dont try and talk to me about music or songwriting especially in a debate

And dude are you joking? My definition of death metal? It isn't my definition, it's the definition. Death metal is a sub-genre of heavy metal characterized by down-tuned guitars, riff-based song structure and deep growling vocals. Also known as NOT Bring Me the Horizon (which is a screamo or metalcore band). If you want to talk about a heavy or dark genre, then say that, don't automatically call it death metal, that's foolish and inaccurate.
And yeah I know there are people who are even more ignorant of what metal is (calling Nickelback metal isn't just atrocious, it's a huge inaccuracy), but that doesn't mean I can't point out to people I'm talking to.
