well if any of u r familiar with the law of conservation and mass, then u know that it states that matter cannot be created from nothing, or completely destroyed. so evolutionists say this, then turn around and say the big bang created the universe as we know it. WTF!!?!?!?!the universe went from non existent to existent in a fraction of a nanosecond! and where did the bigbang come from? nothing? nope, because if the law of conservation and mass is true, then the bigbang isnt. simple...

Why would you doubt that? Many people now and in the past like the Incas live at great heights.

Just meant that it's not a great place to live. I guess logically there would be people there, but my point was that this was told by the viewpoint of a human being, not God. Maybe everyone he saw died in a Great Flood, and they didn't think to check for survivors.

@BigP: I've noticed that your argument for this is mainly comprised of what-ifs.

More like maybes Here's another one.
Maybe that's because the point was that the Great Flood was logically impossible. I was trying to give scenarios in which it could be possible.

I understand, but for that part of Christianity to be correct, then wouldn't the Bible have to be exactly eight on it? :P

Not necessarily. That was the Old Testament, and (in my belief) Jesus came to show us where all the holes in our beliefs were. Maybe there was no need to retell that story, since the lesson was that God would never flood the entire world again (or whatever he ended up flooding).
I have to say, though, I'm having more interesting debates on a computer game website than anywhere else I go. Odd.

@bigP: Same here. It's gotten to the point that AG is more intellectually stimulating for me than school is, and I'm in a gifted class! D:

Yet it also says in the Bible to follow everything in the Bible as complete truth. Everything. Which I think is a bit unrealistic.

That could be a flaw, since it was written by imperfect men. I've come across a lot of verses saying that women should keep silent in churches, but obviously Christians don't go around silencing women. Probably this problem isn't as frequent in atheism or atheistic beliefs because it's based around science, which doesn't have an opinion, but more of a yes and no kind of thing. My guess is that the writers of the Bible (whether hallucinating or actually seeing God) wanted to be sure that their beliefs didn't get tainted along the way. You never know :/

Incas and Aztecs lived at great heights, and also what on Earth is going on? We drifted apart, I already made my arguement before so I'll stick to what I think is going on, Native Americans, the Dakota, Lakota, and another *akota, I can't remember the first letter came as the Sioux, 5 Nations formed the Iroqouis (And later 6 Nations), Tenochticlan formed an Artificial Island by the Aztecs, the Inca, well they've made a great secret... also Britain achieved alot, and no offense to any of you, but 12,000,000 people were the only people in Britain a huge while ago conquerored nearly the whole of Earth, Frederick Barbarosa formed a huge Empire, Saladin had some of the most beautiful cities, and had mercy to his enemies, even their commander, Joan of Arc, a 17 year-old maid took charge of the French Army in the Hundred Years War, and if I'm right in less than a Year and a half they turned back everything that the British had done over nearly 100 years, William Wallace had repelled the English which was quite a turnback...
So many people had gotten to great heights, not always for the best reasons, but really they got through well, anyway that packs it up for me, can't believe we went so off-course lol....

Already said I was wrong about that, Highfire. We did seem to steer off course though. I almost forgot this was Big Bang vs God.

Highfire forst thanks for that whistle stop tour of history but why?

We were talking about the great flood and noah etc. peopple living at great height meant people living on mountains that would have to be covered by the water.

Why would God lie to us like seriosly if something loved you more than you coulod ever rap your mind around he would not lie to us. Also All the world turned evil (exept for noah's family) so he needed away to stop all this since tey wouldn't beleive him. But he spared noah's family.

Okay, this topic seriously needs to get back on track. There is a separate thread with a specific discussion on the creation of the earth. If the flood thing is meant to be a proof of god, there is a thread for that as well. This thread should be focused on the creation of the universe as a whole. Arguments should be restricted to that domain.

Quite intersting HardcoreNeverDies. I didn't quite get it all but what I did get was quite good. Reasonably similar to other creation myths.
