I was reading over some arguments, when I saw some things that went against usual Christian logic. Apparently, against popular beliefs, you do not need to be a Christian to go to Christian heaven. This is just one example of ignorance about your own religion. So, I ask, do you theist know everything, or at least the fundamentals, of your religion? If you do not, how can you justify fully devoting yourself to said religion?
Many people perhaps know the modern aspects of their religion, but not the history of it. They don't see the parallels of their religion with the ones that came before them. Each of the Abrahamic religions can be tied in with others through dates of festivals, beliefs about what can and can't be eaten...
For some reason your post reminded me of this.
Humans are to complex psychologically and emotionally.
These are things that are products of physical interactions in the brain. When the philosophical concept of metaphysics was introduced non of this was known.
You may be right that the truth is somewhere in between.
we may know the functions of the brain (which of course we do not)
We do have a limited knowledge of the function of the human brain.
but we will never completely know how humans make decisions or how we really think.
Far to definitive of a statement to make. Since these processes are the result of physical interactions we do stand a chance of knowing.
Not much more time, but I just want to bring up a point.
The Bible is full of false science. Here are two examples you can't deny, the Bible says emotions and such reside in the heart and conciseness resides in the kidney... I can bring up the verses, if you want.

I'm not familiar with the kidney example, but the heart was known to be a very important organ. If it talked all about the functions of the brain, nobody would have taken it seriously. It wasn't meant to reveal all the mysteries of nature, but to reveal the Creator. (From a Biblical point of view.)

Why couldn't it had done both? Since god would have created human, he could have told him all the functions of the brain, proving it by putting electric shocks into his head thus making him do things depending on the shocks. In fact, he could have shown them guns, steel, electricity, and pretty much anything else, but he chose to tell them "I am your new master, and I am awesome. Believe in me and tell me I am awesome and you will be able to tell me I am awesome forever!". Makes no since.

I'm pretty sure that he's putting it into comprehendable context for humans, but hey I might be wrong because atheists know EVERYTHING

Everyone else at the time believed in stuff like that too. What are the verses, i want to know. I actually want read them to give me a little chuckle.

Massive SIGH. God doesn't want heaven to just be some freebie, not to mention Adam and Eve kinda screwed that all up for us. He wants us to prove that we're worthy of heaven, so he doesn't reveal himself (too much) and judges our goodness by our faith.
One more question before bed, why won't god help amputees if he exists?
Either he wants that person to be in heaven with him, or to humble him with a disability that will make him holier for the sake of his salvation.

Well God doesn't want it to be too simple, does he? He wants to have people appreciate his mystery and greater love him and be loved by him, but instead we have morons misinterpreting it (however hard that would be) or the people who think they're being rebels or something. Rofl let's see how feisty they are in about 70 years. Oh well.
I'm pretty sure that he's putting it into *contradictory context for humans,
Fixed that for you... (yes I'm just semi joking around here so don't go flying off the handle over it)
but hey I might be wrong because atheists know EVERYTHING
No we don't, wouldn't mind knowing everything though it might be a bit boring.

Besides making God look like an @$$ for punishing us for something someone else did. How about we use this as a chance to examine what is really written verse what you believe.

So he is essentially Big Brother. And you wonder why people turn from God.
