I was reading over some arguments, when I saw some things that went against usual Christian logic. Apparently, against popular beliefs, you do not need to be a Christian to go to Christian heaven. This is just one example of ignorance about your own religion. So, I ask, do you theist know everything, or at least the fundamentals, of your religion? If you do not, how can you justify fully devoting yourself to said religion?
In medieval times, they thought that if you pray a lot (and donate money to the church) for your deceased loved ones, they would go quicker from purgatory to heaven. So yes you can say that God is like Big Brother, it even involves something like voting.

All well and good, but the Church doesn't work like that anymore. Furthermore, Big Brother is a reference to George Orwell's 1984. You do not "vote" for Big Brother. I am calling god an opressing tyrant.
I don't even know what their believes are.
Then do the research. It irks me when people state an opinion, but they have little to no idea what they are talking about.

Their opinion obviously isnt from the bapist view. Mine is not either. I know very little about bapist beliefs that differ from catholic beliefs. Why do research? He is not defending the bapist religon. Neither am i. I know my catholic faith.

I don't see how God is like Big Brother. I have read the book. Also, if he was a tyrant, you wouldn't dare have posted that he is. You would have been dead on the spot.
A religious person does know their religion. And a person from outside that religon saying they don't has no idea what they are talking about.

Except that he doesn't exist. I could give you a link to his tyrant things, mainly his killings but searching around you could find other tyrant like things such as killing, cruelty, and injustice.
And while I am linking, I will show you EVERYTHING to do with Jesus and kidneys here.

Because ignorance is no justification. If you know more than you may present a better case for your opinions, and thus a better debate and discussion. Simply syaing "Look here's my opinion" is just frustrating.

God wishes to be worshiped, yet gives man free will to worship him. However, when man chooses to exercise this free will and decides NOT to worship god, god gets pissy and sends them to Hell for eternity for not believing in him.
Next we have the Garden of Eden. God set Adam and Eve in the garden to be stewards of earth. God then sets the tree of knowledge in the garden. Eve and Adam then eat from the tree. The problem here is that god is all knowing, therefore god set creation up to fail because he knew the concequences of making earth and then placing people in charge. He further knew what would happen should he put the tree of knowledge in the garden. Thus making sin originate from god who had the power to change or even prevent these events. However, god did what he did and now wishes to be worshipped.

Lastly do not make assumptions about people. I have read the bible cover to cover and have found it to be lacking. Furthermore I was once a person who held faith in your god, and I was once part of the Catholic Church. Therefore I believe my opinion has complete relevance and credibility. Not only that, anyone who, believer or not, has the right to an opinion on Christianity IF they have done the proper research and understand what it is they are talking about.
And for that matter, why won't god do anything that is out of the realm of possibility? The link I gave yesterday mentioned
* "Dear God, I pray that, tomorrow morning at 8AM, you pick up and move the Empire State Building to Paris. Amen." * "Dear God, I pray that you levitate this car 5 feet off the ground right now, and leave it hanging in the air for 15 minutes. Amen." * "Dear God, I pray that you let me fly over the earth today, just like Superman does in the comic books. Amen." * "Dear God, I pray that you let me run the World's first one-minute mile tomorrow, shattering the Olympic record in that event. Amen." * "Dear God, I pray that you make a living, breathing Tyrannosaurs Rex appear on the Mall in downtown Washington DC tomorrow. Amen." * "Dear God, I pray that you move Mt. Everest to Newark, NJ tomorrow. Amen." * "Dear God, I pray that you put $100 million in small unmarked bills in my basement tonight. Amen." * "Dear God, I pray that you completely eliminate all of the diseases in the world tomorrow. Amen."
all as "impossible prayers" witch never happen no matter how well they fit the criteria.
One of the Marquis de Sade's female villains said: 'I believe that if there were a God there would be less evil on earth; I believe that since evil exists, these disorders are either expressly ordained by this God, and there you have a barbarous fellow, or he is incapable of preventing than and right away you have a feeble God, in either case, an abominable being, a being whose lighting I should defy and whose laws contemn... Is not atheism preferable to the one and the other of these extremes?'.
