A while ago, I was watching some TV show, and a commercial came on for the "NAACP Awards Show" which would include only black people. Why? Aren't we past the differences? I can bet all my money that if a Whites Only award show was presented, it would cause an absolute from everyone, not just blacks.
So, the question is, why does the NAACP awards ceremony still exist? It just shows that blacks want to be in a different category.
Along with the openly black only colleges, yes, many are hypocrites. Specifically so-called 'community organizers' or what ever they're called.
Most aren't, but idiots make them all look stupid. Although I would have to put the vast majority as having a double standard when it comes to words like the n-word.
There are many racist black groups that should be pressed as being racist. I forgot the group but it supported all African American politicians. They didn't make the site for their views, just their skin color.
I find it rather sad when Racial/Ethnic minorities claim that they're not being integrated into society well enough and then do things that separate them from the host country like (insert race here)-only clubs or other miscellaneous groups which only allow people of a certain descent to go there. If we are going to breakdown the 'racial barriers' then both the host and the immigrants need to stop thinking in terms of skin-colour and start thinking in terms of common interest, ability and mutual respect.
Being white, it gets on my nerves when someone from a racial minority accuses me of not respecting their culture when they refuse to respect mine. People often assume white people don't have a culture, but they do, depending on where they're from.
If I were to go into my full angry Glenn Beck rant mode I would likely throw a ton of seemingly racist remarks on the table, so I will give a bold warning if I think I start to go there.
A lot of black people seem to do this. Wherever I go I see something like this. I tell myself it's a double standard most of the time. Something along the lines of "Meh, we did it I guess they think that it's fair that they can." until it just gets out of hand.
Or, to be more clear, yes a lot of them are hypocrites. Least 80%* of the ones I've seen in my local area (and pretty much everywhere else I've moved).
*Not entirely accurate statement. Likely more of 60-75%.

Seriously, give it a rest. Theres nothing wrong with celebrating achievement in a particular community, especially one so rife with discord. If you left your leafy white middle class suburb you might have a chance of understanding that. But I guess thats expecting too much.
It is kinda funny that the blacks have their own tv channel, but if white peole made one, we would be called racist.
I thought all people were created equal no matter what skin color? I also realize that blacks werent recognized as full human beings until not too long ago, and i support wanting to be with your own race, and etc. But theirs a point where this all gets ridiculous.
Yeesh Woody - give it a rest. Either the only difference between different skin colours is just that - different skin colours OR there are completely distinct and separate cultures and types of people there. If the latter holds true then cultural integration would be a bad thing because people are losing the heritage of their ancestors through mixing with other cultures too much and therefore we should separate blacks, whites, hispanics and asians and not integrate with other cultures. However, if the former is true then I don't see the need for celebrating the achievements of a particular group if all that makes them different is skin colour.

They have a culture, based entirely on ignorance and drugs. Getting out of a ghetto is an award in itself.
Also, I say every race should have its own awards, charities, etc. Including white people. Don't like it? Shoot me. Make people think your an idiot even more.

I think most whites are ready to move on and apologized, but it's some blacks that just refuse to and see racism that isn't there.
My point simply was that Blacks have their own awards ceremony. Yet, if a group of White people made a ceremony and invited only White, there would most likely be an uproar. Since we all want to be together, why not abolish these color-based events.
And yeah, I see what you're trying to say , buy do you remember anything that has happened in the past 100 years that happened to that certain community? You kinda get the idea behind forming such an awards show.
